This pissed off a friend of mine who donated about $200 to the kickstarter fund for the show as far him dropping the show after the first couple of episodes due to the "rampant homophobia" of the revival.

This is more a consequence of several factors:
Iran getting wrecked economically, oil cratering, Venezuela getting ratcheted down via sanctions, and the wars in Syria and Yemen bogging down and losing support. And don't discount the UAE's official recognition of Israel - UAE islamidollars from sheiks to "palestinian relief organizations" is now getting shut off.
And let us also not forget the Beruit docks explosion - which was a thinly-veiled munitions dump for Hamas or Hezbollah.

Basically Hamas is stretched thin and doesn't have the resources to fuck with Israel anymore - Iran isn't resupplying them since they are getting turbo fucked economically, so devoting what they can spare to the more important conflicts in Yemen and Syria. They did a show of force last week (tl;dr burning their stocks of missiles and wildfire balloons because they won't store well, while hoping to improve their negotiating position) and that's it. Might as well throw in the towel until Iran is able to start supplying them again.

I really think Obama was just plain ordering strikes in areas where sects of Muslims that weren't his preferred one tended to live, effectively at random. I've said before, I don't think he himself is really a Muslim because he couldn't possibly worship anyone other than himself, but I think he was imbued with ideas of which were the "right" Muslims and which needed to die by the various guys fucking his mother. The idea that he was legitimately trying to kill these civilians makes much more sense than that every single person in the chain of command involved with these drone strikes just went completely retarded.

The calculus was a little more cold than that.
The supposed plan was to increase civilian causalities while saying shit about "lack of spotting on the ground" to make these guys dangerous to be around to make people willing to turn them over or at least kick them out of thier neighborhoods to remove the places they have to run.
This is the sort of fart-huffing up your ass theory that comes from people who haven't lived in the middle east and fail to comprehend the cheapness of human life. You don't blame Hamas for building bombs in your building and getting you missiled because they are you distant cousins - you blame the outsiders, always.

Also, TBF to Trump's one-and-done on Salami, there was significant intellegence on the ground and the missiles were a generation newer.
