Numerous murders occurred throughout the early 2000's as a result of this shit, including random bangers riding on ethnic children for straying over neighborhood lines..much of it was subdued as the LAPD cracked down more and more on the conflict and people eventually grew used to the new ethnic lines across neighborhoods but there's still a lot of fucking tension there and some of the more obscure gangs in California like 'Barrio Aztecas' are still pretty into the whole anti-black thing and still pretty into attacking blacks.

All of this is probably going to reset any progress made in countering those dilemmas established across 20 some odd years of hatreds and tension twofold; I'd thoroughly expect this issue to come up at some point in left talking points, it has before.
