Yeah, I'd like to know more about this sort of person's background and mindset. Is this some sort of spectrum-related shit, a reaction to childhood abuse or some other traumatic event, a symptom of a dissociative disorder? Or is it just extreme attention-seeking coupled with binge eating disorder/food addiction? It looks like her weight has fluctuated a lot and quite rapidly over the last decade, though of course she was never fat like she is now, so she may have been restricting or bingeing and purging for a long time before resigning herself to obesity. Anyway, I don't think you need to worry about falling down the same rabbit hole (pun intended) as these gender-bending, self-harming crazies. There's something critically and fundamentally wrong with most of them imo.

I'm so used to the fat activists online always being fat through their entire life, so seeing one who used to be average/skinny is even more horrifying, you know?

I don't know if I should feel bad for these people or not. On one hand they chose this life style, on the other hand they most likely have some fucked up issues, like you said.

(pretty much every single person on my 600 lb life has some kind of sexual trauma or abuse from their childhood. well adjusted people dont allow themselves to balloon up to this size)

They're just so unnecessary. Like losing weight is hard, the garish hair could be considered some kind of aesthetic probably, learning how to groom a beard at least takes like ten minutes in the bathroom or whatever, but it costs literally nothing not to put the most fugly sparkledeath bizarre winged glasses on your face. I blame tumblr for this. All the fandom stuff she wears, I am 100% sure she hung out in fandom/genderspecial tumblr that just encourages all sorts of delusions. I'm sure there are mental health issues under the surface, but at this point I think both FA/HAES and Troon communities have become a competition within.

As talked about before, with the BC glasses and repulsive posing, it's a competition to look as fat/gross/gender-bender as possible. Then like all crazy people in competitions, they become addicted to the "status" that comes with being the biggest fatty and trooniest troon. So much so they get tunnel vision, blind to the real world.

Spoiler: It's comparable to the Body Modification Community

Very similar to the BME community where no matter how nasty your body mods look, it's about quantity not quality. For the the FA/HAES it's the amount of weight ("poor me" oppression points), for the troon it's the amount of surgeries ("I'm a real boy!" not like other girl points).

They're fighting for status within their communities by hitting the milestones and pushing the boundaries to the top. It's why small fats aren't a part of the club, and cisgender are thrown under the bus [aka "you're not one of us", "you can't sit here" highschool clique's]. It's also why when someone within the community wants out (wanting to lose weight and de-transitioners) they're publicly shamed, sometimes 'cancelled'. It's never about actually caring about people or their "cause", it's just another way to climb up the social ladder.

Most people within the Body Mod community, even those who are modesty modified, don't care what others think EXCEPT from those within the same community. It's why no matter how repulsive a modified person may look to others, they welcome the negative attention because it equals points within their community. It seems the FA/HAES works the same way with the only difference being they DO care what people outside of their community think and try to force (or at the least shame) others into their community instead.

The FA/HAES goal is to "change beauty standards" in the world. However, in reality it'll only ever be acceptable within that specific community (no matter how much virtue signaling they do), because the rest of the world sees it for what it actually is. Unhealthy, miserable, repulsive, self-harming. They're just too self-absorbed to recognize otherwise.

It's made worse by SocJus crybullying their way into medicine, demanding affirmation and emotional support instead of actual help. I have seen people who smoke two packs a day, have a cancer scare that turned out negative, and went right back to smoking anyway. Medicine cannot save people from themselves.

My money is on her being autistic and lesbian and trooning herself being the result of social contagion.

Spend enough time as a troubled or deeply insecure individual maybe already experiencing depression or anxiety in certain online spaces that push early trooning as the answer to isolated gay kids' woes, and this is what you get. The black and white mind of the autistic young person gloms onto it and pursues transition with terminal focus. They will transition and THEN they will be happy. It's that or misery and suicide. Their new friends told them so.

A bigger problem is that no professional these days dares explain the facts to them, that they are jumping the gun. Of course there are professionals whose sole interest is in helping these individuals pursue transition as fast and as unquestioningly as possible.

Once they're mutilated and T-ed up with no going back on most of the physical effects they end up a bigger freak with more problems than they ever had as a lesbian or questioning young woman. Their social life revolves 100% around others on the same path and the insanity just multiplies.
