For example, like if one was carrying say a S&W stainless 629 or 686, which run $900-$1100 but are seriously high quality And versatile hand guns, tough, accurate, weather resistant, and will drop damn near anything. So worth the money. The opposite would be like a Kimber 1911, or a sig p226. Both are good quality guns but not to the extent you couldn’t get similar performance out of like a Glock 17, or a S&W m&p. Also you can build a fully functional decent AR platform for around $600
