Again, I'm watching this and nothing here reads as a joke. If it is a joke, the only reason he is making it is because he was making an earnest point before, Destiny proved him wrong, and he's trying to course-correct by just pulling the emergency brake on the whole thing.

Destiny has put Vaush in quite a tight position. Anything he does about this will inevitably piss off his fanbase. The way I see it he has 3 courses of action;

1) he can ignore Destiny, which is hard considering Destiny's takes have only gotten more BASED following the days post their debate. If he does this, his fanbase will hate him for giving Destiny the pass despite Vaush arguing that dangerous ideas need to be deplatformed.

2) he could go full swinging, disavow Destiny and ask for his deplatforming. Undoubtedly the fanbase that is still not full leftist will hate him for it and his relationship with his senpai will forever be tarnished.

3) he could make a lukewarm take down arguing Destiny's message is harmful BUT will not be arguing for deplatforming since he thinks Destiny does more good than harm. This is more likely the route I think he'll take but I'm interested how is he gonna explain to his hyperwoke audience that although Destiny's message is "evil" and "dangerous" unlike [insert random right wing boogeyman] his message is still not worthy of deplatforming. This will still piss a quarter of his more extreme audience regardless.

I don't think so, although I couldn't say for sure given how much he streams and how little of him I can stomach listening to.

My guess is no, his family is very well off and at this point given his top paypigs pay him upwards of $5k a month in total each month he could also afford it himself.

As much as people want to fanboy Destiny after this recent saga, I find him even more pathetic. He platformed this guy, basically handed him a career with no merit or intellect while killing off half of his own fanbase. Stupid. Just incredibly stupid.
