I feel like the Green party was pretty nice in the past, still think they have their hearts in the right place, it's why I voted for them until Trump. Which makes all the bewilderment from Democrats that don't understand why someone like me voted Trump all the funnier.

Still remember thinking when Trump first started running and was so much further to the left on issues like foreign policy popped up that we'd see the Democrats race to get even further to the left of him. Instead they race to the right on one issue after another and now we have to deal with the political lines of left vs right being jumbled all up.

The green movement had some useful stuff they could partner with traditional conservationists on like air polution, cleaning up hazardous waste, acid rain, etc.

That said, there's more than a little truth to the watermelon analogy

The Green Party put up Cynthia McKinney up as their nominee for president, one of the craziest and most hate-filled public figures of the last thirty years. This is the act of a fundamentally unserious party filled with fundamentally unserious people who should never be trusted with political power.

Can't help but feel the modern self declared socialists are just hyper capitalistic globalists that go along with whatever corporate overlords tell them is brand friendly, which goes against the whole concept of wanting a few socialist policies to help your own country. But then I can't see how anyone can call themselves an environmentalist and be in favor of increased immigration given all the problems overpopulation causes. Rather than taking in immigrants we could be trying to hand out birth control like candies in third world countries to help tackle the problem and in a generation or two everyone could be better off.

Yet again I feel compelled to mention that on the same day that this person wrote her birdcage-liner of a story, Trump explicitly condemned the rioting and the violence. The only options are that this journalist didn't give Trump more than a few minutes to respond to Joe before she shat all over the page, she penned it after his speech because she's a whore, she's unaware of Trump's speech because she's a hack, or she ignored the speech entirely to pump out propaganda.

I don't care which excuse it is, because she's a piece of shit no matter which route she took. #3 seems the least likely, though, because that would require that she'd been ignoring everything Trump has been saying about the riots for the past three months. She's a journalist with TDS; there is absolutely no physical way that someone like that can ignore Trump for 3 minutes, let alone 3 months.

This is also assuming that Trump's speech was after Joe's, but I think it was the other way around. Again, that doesn't particularly matter because Trump's been calling this out for months.

ironically that's their spin in germany as well. in short anti-corona lockdown protesters tried to storm parliament (for some reason), which was later declared to be "skeptics, reichsbürger, and right-wingers/nazis", with a lot of politicians coming out in force "condemning the violence" and "we need to fight everything nazi because MUH WW2", effectively shifting the narrative only retards (the skeptics) and literal nazis are against corona measures.

now here's the thing tho, with germany's inherited guilt and absolute butthurt about everything right-off-center, you couldn't organize anything nazi even if you wanted to do without either getting shut down hard or the glowies infesting every rank to make sure nothing ever comes out of it, way worse that it's happening in the usa, the glowie-games in germany are off the charts when it comes to the right. but now suddenly there's a large organized group big enough to not only protest but the first thing they try to do is take over parliament?
