And if they do remote schooling, you aren't allowed to listen in or observe, because you don't have the right to know what your kids are being taught by the state.

I distinctly remember her bragging about having an expensive freezer stocked with tons of ice cream at the beginning of this farce. Given how tone-deaf that move was in light of millions losing their livelihoods, I can't say I'm all that surprised to see her flout all the restrictions she and the Democrats helped set up.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D)'s own task force is now recommending that COVID-19 patients not be sent to ordinary nursing homes, contra the Governor's current policy.
Some highlights:
"The recommendations seek to limit the sending of COVID-19 positive individuals to nursing homes that don't have a history of caring for residents with the virus. And they aim to change the "regional hub" system that's been a cornerstone of Whitmer administration's policies, which have focused on using isolated areas of existing nursing homes.

Moral of the story: Power is a very, very seductive thing. Only the ones with the strongest character can let power go when the situation requires it. As can be seen, we have very, very, very few who can let that power go. Look at Whitmer. Look at Cuomo. Look at Newsom. They epitomize the worst of America. The people these turds have done out of their jobs, prohibited from making a living, and still making it somehow epitomize the best of America.
Whitmer, Cuomo, and Newsom can laugh now, and am certain they are. One day they will face a Judge who cannot be bullshitted, where they have no influence. You also have to account for the fact that they're trying to coverup for themselves from even more scandals and their incompetency, so they're draconian measures will not go away until Summer 2021 or until the state legislature/courts fight back. They're holding the citizens hostage, because they mishandled covid and ruined their future political aspirations. Deblasio/Cuomo hinted that re-opening indoor dining will be delayed for NYC because of the "Flu Season". Lockdowns and continuing previous measures will be justified in the coming months due to "Flu Season" in a lot of places as the cases start to trend downward, mark my words.
