But the position of sheriff goes back a 1,000 years earlier to Anglo Saxon England.

I noticed that too. I also noticed there were ANTIFAGGOTS bragging about shooting the patriot prayer guy the night of, but everyone seemed to want to pretend it never happened the next day. It reminds me of the vehicle shooting that happened in CHAZ, where every asshole wanted to brag about how good ANTIFA was with guns, then it came out they wasted two black kids and, suddenly, nobody knows about the incident you're talking about. They know how bad it looks and the media is covering for them with silence.

Having one trooper out of a squad a newly minted federal deputy is a great idea. Hell deputize all of em. Fucks commie DA right in the ass. Put a couple hundred in federal custody and shit would quiet down in Portland real quick.

If it's only done for antifa/blm protesters and not literally everyone else who commits those crimes, anyone charged would be able to raise an equal protection violation defense and civil suit. But that's about it.

Now, if the DAs decision to not charge for those crimes can be directly linked to a conspiracy to commit insurrection, he could then be charged for sedition. But there would have to be some strong fucking evidence. Like video of him literally meeting, planning, and admitting it on tape.
