People have to overcome problems in order to build self-confidence and see themselves as capable of achieving their goals and dictating the terms by which they can live their lives. Kids these days are never given an opportunity to do that. They have constant supervision to avoid any unexpected challenges, adults who swoop in to solve all their problems, trophies handed to them in case they were ever feeling less than super-awesome. They feel existentially overwhelmed and threatened by the least amount of difficulty. Their view of the universe is utterly hostile, because they do not feel capable of dealing with any of it on their own. They are therefore motivated to unnecessary aggression and catastrophic thinking to deal with their inner lack of strength and capability. The over-react wildly because they have no minor defeats and victories in their lives to give them a sense of perspective.

They're desperate to feel in control of something, and the left has been very good at giving them boogie-men to be afraid of, along with the sense that they're an infallible majority and therefore don't actually risk anything when they put on their boxing gloves and go to knock down the baddies.

You speak as if this entire season of rioting wasn't a preplanned excercise to cement the left's command and control, supply, funding, comms, and media systems in advance of the planned insurrection following the election.
