Getting this thread back on track, has anyone else taken notice that r/yandere_simulator is unprivated? apologies if i’m late.

Can’t wait to see all the asskissing regarding the demo
I guess the whole application thing is going about as well as expected.

Rest of the subreddit feels like "Beatings will continue until morale improves", with posts like "Look at this funny bug I found" instead of "oh dear, look at all these bugs in the demo".

Bit offtopic but does anyone know if pushshift.io catches up on the posts it's missed after a sub has been unprivated, or will there still be a gap in the data? Obviously deleted posts won't be there but I'm concerned about the currently existing posts being added to the database

I've attached a copy of StudentScript.cs to this post. This is what was obtained when @Not Based or Redpilled broke into Alex's GitHub on July 4th. I want you to take a good hard look at the way Alex has coded all of the student's routines, and then tell me what groundwork he's laid to make his life easier. I'll wait.
Out of 21768 lines of the finest spaghetti Alex has to offer, GNU nano found 961 occurrences of '//', which is to say that there's less than 961 comments to explain what does what in this shitfest Alex calls a program. Not all of them were written by him either. You can tell which ones were written by the Tinybuild guy because they take up a few lines and are signed. The rest of the comments are for removing code and asinine shit like this.

Wew. He did it. Osana is out and it was just what I expected. An okay experience with a bunch of bloated features. Atleast he has something I guess. But he's stupid if he thinks making additional rivals will be some kind of copy/paste job. If he was those rivals to be complex and different, he'll have to use new code. This game us more like 20% done.

lol you think his code could scale to 10 whole rivals

But obviously he can't afford or care to add regular low poly models, for low graphics mode. He just uses this single SUPER obvious looking one.

"If the crowdfunding campaign fails this super normal feature won’t be in the game pls gib momey or else game will be unfinished mess"

It‘s been six years, hundreds of thousands of donations and this dude threatens to release the game unfinished.
Just rename it to Scam Simulator already.

If Love Letter's code is based off of something else, I'd lean towards it being based off of the code of Watashi no Mono (which is also publicly available) which is another YanSim clone that Alex pressured the developer into abandoning. So in effect, a copy of a copy.

Anyone trying to reuse Alex's code to build a game would probably just neck themselves instead. It'd be less painful.
It's atschually Heartbreak, another project Logan failed this year in January. School design in LL is from Heartbreak.
I don't hate him. I think he's got a cool idea for a game and I think it would be really fun with more polish. That's why I want the crowdfunding campaign to succeed. He's definitely taken some missteps in the game's development, though. Particularly time management. I think that's due to lack of experience. As far as the more heinous allegations go, I don't really know enough about those situations to have an opinion on it.
If someone got so much money he bought second Nintendo Switch just so he wouldn't have to delete account on Animal Crossing. Then that someone should be perfectly capable of employing someone capable to help him. Nevermind how he broke off contract with TinyBuild because he couldn't understand non-spaghetti code - there was already programmer and he already mostly fixed the game some years ago. There's also revenue from Youtube and merchandise.

If he has so much money already, why would kickstarter help somehow? As long as he has reins over the whole project, expect this money to be wasted on something else.
Did you watch the most recent video? If he has a lot of money, he can hire people to do more work for him, and faster.
You can give money to me, I want to open brewery but I have horrendous issues with initial capital.
I doubt he's living with them for free. I'd assume his parents are charging him rent, or they're missing a serious money-making opportunity.
And he can still use the current code as a reference. Plus, he'll have more experience this time.
He cannot. If you would check out the build which has leaked, there's a lot of hardcoded values into different scripts. If he wants to change one little thing, he needs to change it across up to 1000 lines of code sometimes. Yes, it's that retarded. There's also a reason for retarded code like this: he stated himself whole game is going to be scrapped. Way back 5 years ago. He wanted to push out Osana quickly, then crowfund, kickstarter, scrapping the game and making it better from the ground. That would be okay, to write crappy else-if code if it's going to be deleted.

A tale from the official discord.
Yesterday when the mods where asleep outright heresy took place in the discord.

Also he gets so many emails that his inbox is full. (I didn't know something like that was even possible)

But not to worry. Of course dev-pai has the answer to the framerate issue. It turns out a low frame rate is actually your fault.

Also I've heard that there is a second cheat command besides "debug". Has anyone found that one already?

I've been out of the loop on the situation. Is he still denying people to come help him with the shitty coding?

Seriously, if he took on some help from actual, well skilled devs he'd be able to sort that shit out easy. Every time someone has tried to help it feels like he can't take the hit to his pride and pushes them away to do it solo.

Clunky coding is gonna fuck up your optimization. Lowering the graphics is just a temporary fix, and hardly helps for those with less powerful computers who still want to experience the game.

>make Osana kill herself
>pick up her body
>now Raibaru follows you

spaghetti code at it's finest

Also, woah. Even asslickers and other yesmen have issues with demo? Maybe they didn't read debunk page. The nerve of some people, to question Yandere Dev authority. These ain't bugs, just features. Just lower your graphics, and buy newest gaming computer. Goddamn poorfags, they want to play AAA+ games on soviet fridges? Gremlins, all of them, I say.

I'm a bit late this time, but the September 2nd bugfixing build is out.

Some of these are expected,
Fixed exploit that really did allow the player to literally just run up to Osana and stab her right at the start of the day, in full view of Raibaru.
Some are unexpected (this is probably another half-assed fix that will break again later, though),
Fixed bug that would cause Raibaru’s body to spawn infinite decapitated heads if the player attempted to dismember her with a circular saw.
And some he definitely didn't consider a bug until people complained about it.
Fixed bug that made the “Senpai Meets Amai” cutscene become blurry once the cutscene moved to the bakery.

His DOF fixes largely amount to scattering lines like this across the codebase:

Fixed bug that prevented windows from appearing transparent if the player was on the school’s first floor.
This one I think was him running tests with occlusion culling on the first floor but forgetting to re-enable transparency in the final build, I remember watching a video he posted talking about it (I can't find that video now but I'll post it later). It clearly looks like leftover test code:

(By the way, this snippet is from StudentManagerScript of all places [lol].)

There will now be a memorial service the day after Osana commits suicide.

Presented without further comment

Other than that it's a bunch of bug fixes (some of which are more design flaws than bugs) that he certainly could have made on his own before releasing the final build.

Also I've heard that there is a second cheat command besides "debug". Has anyone found that one already?

(This doesn't actually change anything ingame)

I was looking arround youtube to find some let's play of the game to see if Yandere Sim is still popular.
And I found this sperg

The dude is tryharding so much with the thumbnails and the 5456756 yandere dev and fnaf videos.
What a fucking muppet I pity him
