It's natural and healthy as long as it's consensual and doesn't involve kids, animals, or any other fucked up unnatural fetishes. The trouble came when sadists, necrophiles, paedos and zoophiles and the like decided that because homosexuality was considered marginalised sexuality or "queer", they had anything in common with them and invited themselves into the gay rights movement. We've seen Tom O'Carroll and PIE mentioned a few times since he was perving over Desmond, they tried to hop on the gay rights bandwagon and ordinary gay men and lesbians (mostly lesbians) who aren't into raping kids kicked them out and didn't want to be associated with them. They get enough conflation of homosexuality with paedophilia from homophobic conservatives. That's why they have to clear out the nonces that try to follow them, because it's the right thing to do to keep kids safe, to not lend the paedos any inherited respectability from their movement, and to prove there's nothing to that stereotype.
I think most people don't mind if two men or two women want to bang, but they're (rightly) against child abuse. The paedos know this and that's why they try to use gay rights to push their agenda.
