Apparently there was a fight at a 711 in Portland yesterday night.

That's the intersection of 4th and Taylor. I've gotten lucky finding on-street parking on that block of Taylor a bunch of times, sometimes when time was of the essence, so I have a certain fondness for it. For the past few years, there have regularly been 6-10 homeless guys around the entrance to the 7/11 in the middle of the day.

They want to replace cops with "a medical health expert and a medic and if they need someone with a gun then they can call them"

Probably mobility to keep up with the mobs. If you recall the Rand Paul thing, the cop was protecting him using his own bike. I would guess it's a makeshift shield, easy to hop on and cycle off to somewhere else, and not that expensive for the city to replace if it gets culturally enriched.

Bigger than either of those. Cities get millions to billions in federal aid for various things. Trump is asking for the feds to review each line item for those four cities and threatening to take some or all of that aid away.

There's one city conspicuously missing: Minneapolis

It absolutely should be on any list of anarchic cities, with slashed police budgets and spiking crime. But it's not, and nothing I've seen suggests a good reason for leaving it off.

Which means Trump is playing politics, trying to flip Minnesota by not pissing off residents in a swing state before an election. The other cities are in states he has no intention of winning. That's pretty crass.

(Not surprised the media isn't calling him out, though, it's kind of hard to say "peaceful protests" and then your gotcha! moment is describing how police cuts lead to soaring crime in a city.)

All of these, plus some others. It also creates a strong mental image. An unbroken line of metal, behind it an unbroken line of cops. its psychological. Beyond that, its also easier to menuever, while providing the cops total view in front of them. A car can create blindspots do to its sheer size.

Well it didn't take long for them to piss away whatever goodwill banning Antifa got them.

Facebook is very afraid of getting trust-busted. This feels like someone in power is leaning on them, because it doesn't even fit the legal definition of a mass shooting (4+ casualties). It also seems odd to ban everything about Kyle, rather than footage of the event itself (which would have a better case).

Yes, my first reaction was that Minneapolis needs to be on the list too. We can only hope that he is collecting the data behind the scenes and will crack down on the Midwest anarchist hotbed as soon as possible. I can’t blame him too much for wanting to flip Minnesota red, since it is one of the outcomes I want most out of this election.
Minneapolis should be included in this first batch, seeing as it kicked off literally this whole jogger uprising and the disband the police narrative and has skyrocketing crime rates. Hopefully the city ends up on the list of “anarchist jurisdictions”.

"It sure is sad that that new affordable housing project was destroyed, but you're still required by law to have affordable housing, so you'll just have to give us the first few floors of that hotel instead."

(Thankfully, Trump nuked that law.)

From the article:

"The [37 million] project was funded almost entirely by private funds, with only $340,000 in public money being contributed. "

I hope those fuckers who raised the private money learned their lesson. I hope they go to their graves mumbling "Damn Joggers" on their breaths.

Was that a "narrative?" Or were people simply not assuming the very worst without this evidence?
No, his defenders were actually claiming Rosenbaum got railroaded over a high school romance as if it were a statement of fact. Several blue check "journalists" and "researchers" were falsely claiming the screen caps of the WI sex offender registry were forgeries when they got taken down, even though the AZ listings were already known. The current narrative being pushed by these sentient trash bags is that Kyle is a (hispanic) white supremacist that executed peaceful, unarmed protesters despite iron clad video evidence outright proving otherwise. This shit goes beyond partisan spin and into serious personality disorder territory.
