Yes, my first reaction was that Minneapolis needs to be on the list too. We can only hope that he is collecting the data behind the scenes and will crack down on the Midwest anarchist hotbed as soon as possible. I can’t blame him too much for wanting to flip Minnesota red, since it is one of the outcomes I want most out of this election.

I see the whole thing as more of Trump doing two things.

He's signaling to his supporters that he's doing something. In actuality, he's not really though because he's getting them to "look into it" which equates to "monitoring the situation" which means doing nothing.

He's also putting out bait that he knows politicians and the news media can't help but bite on. They will be screaming about this and making a big deal over it. It's like cats with a laser pointer. Hey look over there! Like him filling federal appeal court vacancies. The whole time the press was focusing on him saying mean hurty words and non-scandals all these years, he and McConnell have been filing up the courts. I'm sure @It's HK-47 can provide some stats on that.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the whole defunding thing is to get them wound up.

Those people are so fucking weird. My friend had an apartment in downtown Indy before the riots forced him to nope the fuck out. Regardless, when I was watching the Indy live streams, I actually recognized some of those black israelites being just as insane and annoying as I remember when I was there before.

The riots in Indy were disgusting and horrifying as much as anywhere. They really cleaned DT up and then this happened. 😞

There's one city conspicuously missing: Minneapolis

It absolutely should be on any list of anarchic cities, with slashed police budgets and spiking crime. But it's not, and nothing I've seen suggests a good reason for leaving it off.

Which means Trump is playing politics, trying to flip Minnesota by not pissing off residents in a swing state before an election. The other cities are in states he has no intention of winning. That's pretty crass.

(Not surprised the media isn't calling him out, though, it's kind of hard to say "peaceful protests" and then your gotcha! moment is describing how police cuts lead to soaring crime in a city.)

you missed the narrative shift. The narrative now is that these are all "Trump riots" and are not peaceful because of white supremacist agitators. They've been trying to claim the Minneapolis riot was caused by one dude with an umbrella breaking some windows.

Speaking of which: Anyone remember how the media blindly reported that the umbrella man was a white supremacist based on one person claiming it was true? Because there have been no updates on that story in over a month and no one has been arrested. The police allege he was a white nationalist based on one tip from a single email, details of which have not been released and no media outlet has been able to independently verify the truth of this. Why has there been no follow up on this issue when the police claim the riots were all his fault (a total lie) and search warrants were filed in late July? Real mind-twister here.

And here's an article about someone who caught umbrella guy on camera. As you can plainly see from 18 seconds to the end of the video linked in that article, the "white supremacist extremist" was hanging out with a black guy behind the True Value.

They've been gaslighting the public about this for three months and virtually everything they've reported about the riots in Minneapolis have been a total fabrication. I think they know and don't care. It's malicious, not accidental.

That is my assumption too. It's how Trump and the Feds can bypass the corruption of Oregon's local and state politicians who keep catching and releasing ANTIFA and other rioting psychopaths.
Hasn’t the Feds said they’re also going through all the riots to see if they can catch someone and charge them retroactively?

Well it didn't take long for them to piss away whatever goodwill banning Antifa got them.
Facebook is very afraid of getting trust-busted. This feels like someone in power is leaning on them, because it doesn't even fit the legal definition of a mass shooting (4+ casualties). It also seems odd to ban everything about Kyle, rather than footage of the event itself (which would have a better case).
When people like Antifa get banned, conservatives say that’s a token thing so people can claim they go after both sides.

And it is. It's kind of like when they publish one article about BLM activists in Seattle murdering a black 16 year old and then if you say "gee, the media sure did bury the story of that murder" they point to the one article as proof that you're a lying wingnut. See, we reported on it! Kyle gets 500 articles calling him a vigilante murderer despite there being strong evidence of self-defense whereas antifa gets like 3 articles published about them after a mob of commies lynch a black minor and almost murder his 14 year old friend. Leftists sincerely believe this is fair and evenhanded coverage.

They even claimed umbrella guy was tied to an obvious hate crime hoax in Stillwater. It is pure lunacy.

Imagine being 55 and thinking you should hang out with a bunch of teens to 30 somethings,
Imagine being 55 and thinking "Hey I should slam my car in to federal LEO cars multiple times"

They really are fucking desperate. Notice how anythime this dudes picture goes up or they use the video, it is all edited so the pistol doesn't appear. I remember seeing the tv at a family members house and the part where his pistol was heavily blurred.
To be fair guns trigger liberals to the extreme, they got to protect the only people who believe the bullshit.

They want to replace cops with "a medical health expert and a medic and if they need someone with a gun then they can call them"
After watching a bunch of riot videos bike walls make surprisingly good barriers that keep people away, some one giving you a hard time? BIKE TO THE FACE.

Is it not so much a crime in Cali anymore?
CA's house a few days ago passed a bill (not sure if its law yet) saying "a 24 year old can fuck a 14 year old and not be a sex criminal" This is a state with an age of consent law of 18, so two 16 year olds having sex "NO! BAD! ITS AGAINST THE LAW!" But a 14 year old with a 24 year old? "It's cool" All that matters is that the kid is no younger then 14 and the age gap is no more then 10 years.
It seems Communism and leftism rots the brain more then was expected.

Well, I put a huge textwall about Antifa in the Thunderdome the other day, but since then we've seen all of these local police and the National Guard get deputized by the Feds, so that every action taken against them is considered a Federal crime, which puts them outside of the jurisdiction of the local PD, so that all of the sympathizers in places like the Portland justice department can't immediately spin around and keep releasing these people back onto the streets.

Several people have already been arrested and slammed with Federal charges due to this change, and there's no bailout in the Federal system. Once you're thrown in, you're just in. The DOJ has also made it clear that they're going to retroactively look back through all of the people who were being pushed through this "revolving door" to pursue additional charges, so it's not as though something isn't being done. They all rioted and looted and had all the fun that they wanted, and now that everyone's on the record books, the DOJ can comb through those records at its leisure and pluck out everyone that they want, and there's nothing the locals can do anything about it.

As usual, with the Justice Department: Everything just takes a little patience. This isn't a movie, these things take time.

This is the same police department and mayor who lied and claimed most of the people rioting were from out of town. When they were told their own numbers didn't support that, their response was "oops, we were misinformed."

It sure is convenient they then found a white supremacist who supposedly started all the rioting. It's even more convenient that they haven't released his name in over a month and have provided no verifying evidence of this claim. It's almost like they invented a lie to support their earlier lie but were smart enough to make sure this lie was unfalsifiable by interested parties.

Also: how did that Muslim woman know it was the same guy when he was wearing a gas mask in Minneapolis? She posted pictures of the men she said she saw and all of them were wearing completely different clothes than umbrella man and had their faces uncovered. None of the men she posted pictures of has the same body type as umbrella man.

This isn't even a debatable lie. You can tell it can't possibly be true from her own pictures.

Bikes have become a staple of riot control because it makes the officers very mobile, and you can use them to form barriers and push people back.

They named him in the search warrant affidavit.

When people like Antifa get banned, conservatives say that’s a token thing so people can claim they go after both sides.

Conservatives need to get over the fact that tech is never going to cater to them unless they start up their own alternatives and drop the religious shit. Even if they get the kinds of regulation they want to foist on tech platforms, like.

Conservatives led such a huge number of moral crusades against technology and video games and everything that your tech-savant autist enjoys in the 80s and the 90s, they've got a solid couple generations of people entering that particular workforce who're never going to be sympathetic to their perspectives. You could do affirmative action for conservative techies and have trouble filling those seats (say, like AA currently has when looking for qualified black C-levels in every industry that isn't music).

Conservatives don't have cultural clout in the discords and slacks and whatever other corners of the internet where a lot of the code monkeys of the future are congregating. Every single conservative-friendly action that every single tech company takes, particularly those that serve as social platforms, is going to be a token effort to claim some level of neutrality. They aren't neutral. Conservatives should wise up and play smarter, but they'll neither do that nor will they meaningfully congregate at a smaller alternative.

They should play facebook's game - they should claim that the suppression of discussion of Kyle seems nakedly political, and they just want to apolitically discuss the merits of self-defense or of defending businesses or something. Instead, they're going to waste the opportunity whinging about how a bunch of people that don't like them... don't like them. Or launch into a lecture about how young urban techies are sinful and need to find god and blah blah blah
