KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An officer-involved shooting investigation is underway in Kenosha on Sunday, Aug. 23. The shooting happened near 28th Avenue and 40th Street around 5:11 p.m., after officers

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58 ) -- An officer-involved shooting investigation is underway in Kenosha on Sunday, Aug. 23.

The shooting happened near 28th Avenue and 40th Street around 5:11 p.m., after officers were called for a "domestic incident."

According to police, officers provided immediate aid to the person. They were transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert in Milwaukee for treatment. The person is in serious condition.

A large crowd gathered near the scene following the shooting.

Kenosha Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol were requested immediately so that the scene could be turned over to an agency other than Kenosha police.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ), Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) will handle the investigation.

We enjoy the right to free movement and travel within the United States. "Because I want to" is all the reason he needs to be wherever he chooses (so long as he's law-abiding, which he was, and so long as it's public property or it's private property he's been invited to). He was familiar with the area and the people in it, those people called for help, and he felt it was his duty to answer that call. He did. That's an admirable trait that should be encouraged and nurtured.

The rioters were not there for law-abiding purposes. He had more right to be there than they did.

No surprises here, standard tactic if the lefties. Use third control of social media to shame organizations into behaving they say they want them too.

They should have expected it and had backup plans.

Fuck just get them to call Null, he's got tonnes of experience dealing with this exact shit tatic.

Rekieta is saying that apparently Bicep Boy was recording video on the phone in his left hand while he approached and drew on Kyle and that that video has been leaked. Apparently Kyle and Lefty had a brief conversation before he did the genius thing of drawing on someone who had a gun pointed at him. Can someone repost or link to that?

Thanks. Kinda hard to see what happens around the time of the shootings but if nothing else it provides further evidence that he was just minding his own business and running towards the cops right before it went down. Further evidence of self defense.

When this kid gets his case thrown out and released, I hope he's able to change his name and move to Barrow, Alaska or somewhere else he can't be found so he doesn't have to live in fear for the rest of his life.

Calling one a hero and taking down Kyle's because they deem him a villian is certainly a reason. We've seen the leaked Discover memo and it's entirely clear who's side the media is on. After all, Sandmann won, I'm sure he will too.

You're reasoning from emotion. Sandmann won because CNN was dumb a shit and made several incorrect factual claims that they had the clear ability to know were incorrect.

Kyle did kill 2 people in Kenosha. That's a fact. Whether it's a murder is for the court to decide, and if it is moral is something for you to decide. (Obviously it was moral)

But that's an opinion based statement. Even if they did call him a villain it doesn't mean that they made a defamatory statement.
