Oneangrygamer's vidya censorship articles ended up to be more and more "devs designed female characters the way I do not like" kind-of thing (for example, the harpies in Serious Sam 4 or Tifa in Final Fantasy 7 remake) instead of actual censorship cases. Although Sankakucomplex and (to a lesser extent) Nichegamer are also guity of doing the same clickbaits because both websites know weebs will eat that shit up in rage regardless how truthful the article is, and anything involving Sony whatsoever is a guaranteed replies especially.

The utter lack of self-discipline that Billy and his community of rabid dogs displayed have hurt more the cause of shared beliefs (spreading awareness in videogame censorship or criticizing the massive amount of companies signal-virtuing for BLM/Floyd) than the detractors themselves. The constant need to bring up politically-driven crap in a entertainment field (to the point of complaining about shit unrelated to videogames) sure didn't help things in OAG's favor.

This is why OAG going out with either a bang or a whisper is actually a good thing in the long run. Let's hope a better website in the quality of Legends of Localization or Censored Gaming will take its place instead.

Except that's untrue? Censored Gaming even covered censorship/localization cases happening in japanese game releases whereas OAG has been entirely silent ("japan dindu nuffin") with the sole exception of tlou2 but more as to mock the game itself rather than denouncing the act of censorship.

Look, I still do recall that you act like a huge Sony fanboy who pretends the censorship strike within the Playstation brand didn't happen at all because most of the games affected by it were things that you personally see no appeal. I mean, it's fine if you do not like visual novels and certain vidya genres, just do not be a contrarian faggot because OAG (sadly and wrongly) tackled on the subject of censorship.

Censored Gaming would routinely cite OAG as a main source and had the same people running in the same circles. They were pretty connected with each other for a good long time.

You're not going to get a torch bearer until a big event involving censorship happens and it has to be a fairly major form of censorship. It's probably going to come from the Warner media acquisition of many anime franchises before it comes from games again for a good long while. Shit happening in VNs also won't gain traffic either since the audience is too damn small.

It has be a franchise or series that many people know. As of current all series like Ys, Legend of heroes, Disgaea, and many other smaller but established series have not had any shakeups with the development team or the localization staff. These all have new installments slated for the next year or two.

The one unknown is Bandai namco because they've pushed the most games back the most, but you're looking way far off before they show the next tales of game.

Square Enix is also safe when it comes to it's japanese games. And Atlus really hasn't shown any signs either of giving way.

The videos from Censored Gaming that mentionned Sony's censorship and the affected titles mainly used Twinfinite, Gematsu and the official statements of devs/publishers as sources. Oneangrygamer was barely, if ever, present in said videos. The clickbait crap OAG tried to pull, such as for FF7remake or SS4, never made its way to Censored Gaming.
