I would say this video is pretty accurate in how Paper Mario has changed.

To think a fancy douchebag's thirst for pussy doomed us all. That last line in the 4chan image lined up with what I was thinking too on page 26 after I watched the Arlo video. Can't believe Count 'tfw no girlfriend' Bleck killed Paper mario.
Because Nintendo is only celebrating first-party content for their 35th anniversary. The Paper Mario series was made in part, by Intelligent Systems.I’m still wondering why there is not a port for The Thousand Year Door for the Nintendo Switch. You’d give out one for Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario 64, but not TTYD?
Seems like a wasted opportunity.
The last two Luigi Mansion games didn't get their content bled into the rest of the franchise, yet. Plus, the plot of the third game looks pretty shallow.Speaking of third parties, how come the studio behind Luigi's Mansion can get away with so much shit that the Paper Mario devs claim they can't get away with? Not only can they make their own characters with all sorts of designs while giving mainline characters unique mannerisms and character traits, but they can even alter designs of pre-existing characters like King Boo with little consequence and said design apparently got featured in some new Mario Kart thing too.

Other than that, I'm filing favoritism.
I feel like Nintendo doesn't want something competing with newer versions of the franchise (especially one so traditional). It's a real shame because there used to be multiple entries per genre for Nintendo franchises. Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing, F-Zero and Wave Race for example in racing.I’m still wondering why there is not a port for The Thousand Year Door for the Nintendo Switch. My longstanding theory is that Nintendo has a particular notion of face (as in "saving face") that means never appearing to cave in to diehard internet fans.I’m still wondering why there is not a port for The Thousand Year Door for the Nintendo Switch.
Still when they made Paperjam that was probably their most restricted game, featuring none of the previous M&L regular characters or enemies, not even Toadsworth (who was dropped from the main series) with the exception of Starlow. Not even having original bosses. And after that M&L restricted itself to remakes before going kaput. Its like Paper Mario is cursed or something. Either that or Nintendo actually wants their third party IP handlers to fail.Is the luigi's mansion games made by a third party company?
If so, I'd say they're allowed to get away with it because their series stars a mainline character while for Paper Mario he's technically a unique character.
It would also explain why Aplhadream was able to get away some of the stuff they did in their games. Other than them being deemed the true RPG series for Mario.
You mean like a remaster? I'm worried. If they do a remaster I feel they will suck all the soul of ttyd. With generic art style like the mario and luigi remakeI’m still wondering why there is not a port for The Thousand Year Door for the Nintendo Switch. An remaster of TTYD would make the game easier, like what they did for most of Superstar Saga. You mean like a remaster? I'm worried. If they do a remaster I feel they will suck all the soul of ttyd. With generic art style like the mario and luigi remake
It'd be more that they would give the more "paper-esque" look that the later entries have. You mean like a remaster? I'm worried. If they do a remaster I feel they will suck all the soul of ttyd. With generic art style like the mario and luigi remake

Lower the enemy stats, cheapen the badges...Is that even possible without just making the game play itself?
