Not sure if this is entirely relevant here, but some relatives of mine in the Vancouver area sent me this article earlier today. The cat survived and doesn't seem to be the worse for wear fortunately, but this is still a bizarre case of animal cruelty. Incidents like this are extremely unusual on Vancouver Island as far as I'm aware, and it's proximity to Washington state (where those cat killer cases happened years back) is making me suspicious, even though I doubt there's a direct connection. The SPCA is currently looking into it but I'm unfortunately rather doubtful that anything will come of it unless hidden cameras happened to catch someone lobbing the cat into a dumpster.

It was a reddit post with a screengrab of a craigslist ad- 'I want to show my BFs how i love his TinyWorthlessCock - mw4m'. With a picture of a woman and two little girls and a woman at disney in mickey mouse ears:

The writing was obviously deranged, it's pretty obvious the reddit OP posted this craigslist ad and screengrabbed it to post to reddit. Their reddit post gets even weirder- The poster goes into a mix of ranting fantasy about this guy named Ryan Quist (Whom he refers to as 'stinky boy' or 'stinks') RAPING HIS DAUGHTERS AND BREAKING THEIR HYMENS, AND HAVING THEM HAVE SEX WITH DOGS under the guise of accusing the man of these acts. I'm going to block out the children's names and faces. The woman in the photo is not Jillian Quist, but I'll explain who she is later.

I've seen this dude pop up at least once a month. I've mostly ignored him- Only recently have I considered posting about this somewhere. From what I've seen the story so far seems to be:

Jillian Quist marries Ryan Quist and has two children. At some point, Jillian develops a meth addiction and gets involved with Slurpy, leaving her family. Slurpy has a lot of weird fetishes, especially zoophillia and humiliation. He forces Jillian to take videos doxxing herself, talking about sleeping with dogs and other blackmail-worthy material. He has posted a single video before of a dog performing oral on her, though in all honesty I do not get the feeling it's something she's doing because she wants to. Somehow, it seems Jillian got away from Slurpy, and overcame her meth addiction, and started working at an addiction center to help others. At least according to what the Stalker posts, it is unclear if she still works at the same place. Having lost his control over her, Slurpy obsessively posts about her, her ex-husband, and her children.

The images don't really get across how... Disturbing the situation is. Slurpy posts many videos from when they were together, and some of them are genuinely saddening. I'll be trying to figure out how to upload the videos I have saved in my next post- They are only a fraction of what's out there. Slurpy has done a pretty good job not identifying himself- But there have been some slipups. He posted this screenshot, which seems to include a shot of his face on facetime. There's not much that can be done about this creep from Jillian's side; slander is only slander if it's false, and she clearly did have oral sex with a dog at least once. It's possible this could fall under revenge porn law somewhere although I don't know if Jillian wants to risk facing charges in Texas to pursue that as bestiality there sits somewhere between being a misdemeanor and a felony with regards to severity and if she's attempting to pull her life back together I can see her being reluctant to go through with legal action and risk losing what little gains she's got back.

But this does depend on the timeline; bestiality wasn't entirely outlawed until 2017 in Texas, so barring any specific laws in Sacramento if it happened before then they might skip over that. I would absolutely believe that it happened through coercion and force rather than something that was her idea to begin with. She was strung out on meth provided by "Slurpy" who clearly has a fixation with dog sex and kiddy diddling himself and was being emotionally beaten down by a guy with a hard-on for humiliation so I don't think informed consent had anything to do with what happened to her or the dog(s?).

Yeah, there's a definite escalation there. I think every person has done that thing kids do when they picked wings off a fly or cut a worm in half just to see what happens at like three to seven years old, but most people look back on that memory (if they even still have it) with a sense of foreboding and self-recrimination over what they did when they were too young to adequately conceptualize death and suffering. The ones to watch out for are the people who keep doing it and get more elaborate in how they torment organisms smaller and weaker than them. Killing bugs is one thing, especially if the intent is to kill them as fast as possible so it (hopefully) hurts less; same goes with any pest animal really. But when you're torturing something intentionally for no other purpose than sadism, it will desensitize you and people who practice this way always either get caught and charged (assuming that ever happens in this case) or they will keep escalating up to mammals and, eventually, people.


As much as we give Tumblr shit around here and how it's often well-deserved, they have started a trend of people looking at how animals like reptiles and fish and gerbils are treated while also telling PeTA freaks to get fucked (because, remember, modern PeTA hates the notion that people keep pets at all). So far it's just talk about how fish bowls, compact plastic cages, and some reptile tanks are shit pits unless they're constantly maintained and even guppies need a good environment to live longer than two weeks, but it's a step in the right direction. There are several YouTube channels run by the same guy, these channels are as follows: Love Rescue Animals, pabloxito17, The Rescue Journey tv, and yorquy. (A1, A2, A3, and A4.)*
Notably, this guy uses the same animals (usually puppies and kittens) and intentionally puts them in extreme situations. (Being coiled by a snake, head trapped under fence, drowning, etc) and "rescues" them. Something to note is a puppy which he used in multiple videos he intentionally killed by letting him loose near a road and having him get run over to stage an "accident, tragic" video. The puppy died and the video ended with him burying him in a shallow grave.
He also has intentionally cut animals to the point of bleeding to stage an animal attack rescue.

Places like India have a massive street dog problem. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those video makers are taking random dogs off of the street for this. The fact they devolved into snake feeding videos is another common abuse trope - So many ' live feeding' channels are just animal abuse in disguise. Dangerous for both the snake and the prey.

Funny you mention “The Dodo.” Sometimes their videos are great to watch for if you’re feeling down and want some easy-to-watch neat and packaged animal rescue content that always ends well, there you go. But they pump out those videos like Chinese sweatshop workers, so it doesn’t surprise me they don’t fully fact-check their shit. Easy things to note are when they have two prey/predator species as "OMG BFFs so cute!!!" (fucking birds and cats/dogs, ugh) but as for actual fake animal rescue videos? I have no idea, and would be interested to know if you could provide any examples. They are becoming pretty big, and misinformation surrounding animals is something they do quite often.

A personal nitpick of mine is when people project human emotions and body language onto animals, which I do consider misinformation surrounding animals. An example is, "My dog is smiling, he must be happy!" bitch no, he's likely opening his mouth and panting to cool himself off. Or when dogs curl their lips to resemble a "smile" it can be a sign of nervousness.
Animals have completely different body language than humans. Even other primates like chimps have different body language. (Example: "smiling" in chimps is a sign of fear and submissiveness

It's little shit like this that makes me want to correct people but I know I'll just look like a prissy asshole if I do.
