Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Call me crazy, but given the fact to how Mulan got dumped on Disney+ for $30, if I were in charge, I would legitimately troll the Disney shillers by putting Plan IX on Disney+ instead in theaters with a $60-70 price tag.

Just watched the Smacktalk video on Star Wars, it was pretty neat but wouldn't you know it? Plan IX's Rotten Tomatos score is stuck on 86% even to this day.
Amazing.
If nothing else, JJ should have been on call 24/7 whenever possible as a consultant just to make sure his plotlines were upheld
You assume there were plotlines. There were none, just vague implications that JJ _NEVER_ expected to be forced to follow up on.
I used to think the same way. However, after watching SJWs plunge every series they laid their hands on into the muck (Star Wars, Halo, Star Trek, etc.) I no longer see things that way. Woke bullshit overrides the desire for profit in their eyes.
Pretty much every franchise that I ever cared about was ruined, in most parts due to modern politics about gendershit and only in very few cases by other (yet equally destructive) kinds of idiocy. But what most of these had in common was a complete and utter hatred for the source material.

Imperial Mantid News:

Live from the Imperial outpost on Huk to bring you the latest news concerning rat feces!

1: Though many news outlets are currently shilling hard for nu-Mulan, many others are starting to do a 180 and call Disney racists and realizing "just how bad" SW is under them because of Boyega's comments. The woke is finally starting to bite them in the ass.
View attachment 1575497
Hopefully it bites their heads off too. Still hypocritical of them that an actor's comments are what make them call out Disney and not the fact that they're furloughing their employees who are forced to eat charity food while Iger and his execs are back to full pay and getting billions for sitting on their asses.
But don't protest Disney, just give them your money so they can use it to buy roach infested food for their employees or just toss cans their way like good little shills.
Regardless, Boyega's comments, whether you agree with him or not, have caused quite a stir.

2: The new Yoda design for High Republic has apparently been met with negative reception. Some claiming it changes nothing while others think the gold ensemble looks gaudy. Either pure coincidence or because of backlash to the character designs, SW.com has started releasing updated designs for High Republic characters, specifically giving them "battle outfits" which do little to improve their actual designs.
View attachment 1575505View attachment 1575506
The Karen Traviss namesake still looks like shit with cowpie hair.

3: Rumorfags are claiming S2 of the Mandalorian will put even more focus on Baby Yoda and supposedly the set's crew have even gotten new patches with Baby Yoda as the new face of the Mandalorian. I expect a lot of forced milking if true.

4: Star Wars youtube videos have apparently decreased greatly in views over the past summer. As even videos that should've easily hit a million views have failed to do so, and this is not just for official Disney content but even SW-focused fan channels like SW Explained and SW Theory that can barely get past 5 digit views in contrast to previous activity. However the Sims GE update received a rather odd increase of 500k views almost overnight despite barely breaking 400k during its first week, meanwhile the Alphabet Squadron game is still sitting at around only 400k views. Despite the increase in views, the Sims GE update video has also received a whopping increase in dislikes, with over 100k while its likes still sit at 41k (while the Squadron game sits at only 18k), so its possible the extra views are from the anti-SW and larger anti-EA communities. Regardless, overall SW activity on youtube, reddit and twitter (the former hotspots for Disney Wars drones) have severely decreased. I'm not good with graphs but I'm going to see if I can dig up something more precise if anyone's interested.

So what do you think this decline in activity and views means? Have the masses finally realized how fucking terrible its all gotten and how fucking awkward it is to like Star Wars now? Or are the shills right about this being due to a "calm before the storm" that the Mando trailer will unleash? Because based on what's going around, a trailer ain't coming any time soon.

5: Once again Disney has stolen fan designs for their comics.
The quality of the comics have also dipped even further as they keep trying to promote High Republic. I honestly can't give too much details on this beyond the video as I really don't want my brain cluttered with Aphra garbage again.

6: Speaking of comics, IDW is apparently in hot water and a Disney exec is taking over.

7: Not completely SW related, but Mulan is a mediocre bust in both reception and digital ticket sales, even Twitter isn't impressed. Despite this, Rotten Tomatoes has once again stepped in to alter perception on behalf of Disney, seemingly making some realized that maybe now they're irrelevant and not the dozens of times before that they pulled this crap.
To make matters worse, the movie is now being boycotted across China. So now Chinese bucks for them despite going the extra mile to make it pander to China. LMAO They tried so hard and blew it all but in the end it didn't even matter.

These last two come fresh from @Itchy Bacca.

8: The guy who played the Devaronian on the Mandalorian is getting harassed on Twitter over some JK Rowling bullshit.
View attachment 1575515
Now he's getting bashed for trannyphobia and whatnot.

9: The buff girl from The Mandalorian is also getting harassed for demanding that small businesses, services, churches, etc be allowed to open up and people take responsibility for their own lives. Naturally Twitter is trying to cancel her.

10: I'm thinking of continuing the Cosmic Shitpost but its been so long that people might have forgotten some key elements, so if I continue it now I hope there won't be any confusion or that some are willing to retrace previous entries which I can supply links to, as the next part is going to explain a lot of unsolved details from the previous entries, specifically ones concerning the mysterious Notrons. Any questions?

1: Boyega is salty that his character, who could have been the next Kyle Katarn (ex-Stormtrooper turned Jedi) became a joke. People rag on Lucas for being racist, but the Hollywood woke machine treats black men like ornaments, which is even more racist. In classic Star Wars, the two black characters they had were a Space Baron who owned his own territory, and a Jedi Master who for all intents and purposes is the strongest Jedi in the main series considering he practically crushed Palpatine, in a fair fight, no less. Not even Vader, Yoda, or Luke could do that in the films. In Disney Star Wars, the main black character not only is a deserter and a coward, but he can't even sacrifice his life for the cause, and he becomes a footnote as time goes on, which is the exact opposite of what happened with Master Windu, where he starts off as a footnote character then slowly becomes more prominent as he starts fighting and overcoming tough foes like Jango Fett and Darth Sidious, with the former being the leader of the Mandalorians, and the latter being the leader of the Sith, respectively.

The woke brigade has a tendency to purity-spiral. Now that Disney has been condemned as greedy and racist, they're next on the woke brigade's list of targets. Even if Trump and every conservative were to die tomorrow, the woke brigade will find some new target, more likely someone from their ranks who wasn't woke enough, like Mike Bloomberg.

2: The new designs look uninspired. And here I thought the old Jedi designs were beginning to look same-y. These new outfits are more of the same. At least SWTOR and the KOTOR games tried experimenting with ornate robes and some battle armor on the Jedi.

3: Baby Yoda has become an icon, as much as Ahsoka Tano. I wouldn't be surprised if they explain her absence in the Sequels by saying that she was taking care of Baby Yoda all this time, so when Rey gives up being a Jedi, Ahsoka can show up with Baby Yoda and rebuild the Jedi Order.

4: People's interest in Star Wars may be beginning to fade. Especially with real-world problems becoming worse every day. People have less free time when joblessness and urban riots become more of a problem. That, or people just re-watch, re-read, or re-play old Legends stuff while ignoring the new stuff.

5: Disney SW comics aren't as important or prominent now that their lore people have openly said that canon doesn't matter. So barely anyone cares when they steal fan designs for their stuff.

6: With all of Disney's recent failures, you'd think giving a failing company to a Disney Exec would be the last thing people would do. That's like hiring Team Rocket to help villain organizations that are failing.

7: The new Mulan film is an average Wuxia flick with a Mary Sue protagonist who won't impress audiences on either side of the Pacific. The western audience sees something that barely has any of the joy or excitement of the animated film, while the Chinese are all about strong men doing masculine things, and won't be impressed by some Super-Saiyan chick who thinks she can play with the boys. Why do you think Optimus Prime makes so much money there despite all the trashings that professional critics give to the Bayformers flicks? Point being, if you want to sell something in China, make it about a strong male character who is traditionally masculine, who saves the day and gets the girl. And don't try to pander to minorities with it, the Chinese won't be impressed. Why do you think the TFA posters in China have Boyega's face minimized?

8: Clancy Brown is a good man. He deserves better than being treated like that.

9: Basically, the SJWs and feminists only like women talking if the women say things they like. If a woman says things SJWs don't like, they ignore her the same way the SJWs claim that men ignore women.

10: Not my problem, but good luck with that.

Just watched the Smacktalk video on Star Wars, it was pretty neat but wouldn't you know it? Plan IX's Rotten Tomatos score is stuck on 86% even to this day.

Corporate favors at its finest. Rotten Tomatoes is covering for Disney at the cost of their own reputation. Only time will tell how much this will cost them.

Of course the SJWs hate the source material. The source material comes from a time when people still had creativity in their minds and real values in their hearts. The only thing that corporations and woke writers want to do is to pander to leftist morons while profiting off them, the big screen equivalent of selling Che Guevara T-shirts to socialist college kids to make a buck. It's the unholy marriage of greed and liberal preaching. Things with morals and values beyond all the explosions and space ships are seen as evil, so subverting them and pissing off their fans is agenda #1 for these twats. Their hatred for the classics and everything they represented is clear, especially with newer works that spit on everything the originals accomplished. We see this in Star Wars, Star Trek, Halo, and almost everything else these twats get their hands on.

Some say the fault lies solely on Rian, while others say the fault lies solely on Kennedy, but the truth is it was a team effort. Kennedy, Rian, the Story Group, JJ, Hidalgo, Filoni, Chris "Porgcuck" Martin, Wendig, Del Rey, Ridley's acting, the list goes on. And Iger for letting it all fall apart because he was too busy counting his money, buying shit like crazy and thinking Kennedy knew what she was doing. And JJ's film was about as much of a dumb down as TLJ, only reason people are willing to notice it less is because he copied ANH to a tee, so he'll get praise for inspiring nostalgia while offering nothing new that's good on its own without being a carbon copy. Everything "good" about his shit was just a copypaste, and IX proves the man and the rest of Bad Robot don't have a single good writing bone in their bodies, much like the rest of nu-Lucasfilm. Luke being a failure was in the cards from the get-go as far back as Kasdan and JJ's first drafts, the only difference is JJ's unoriginal vision would've had Luke be a miserable wreck who the all-powerful lady Rey has to save and redeem by turning him into Yoda 2.0 to train her a bit before she fucks off to fight Kylo Ren on not-Bespin.

in daisy's defense (and boyega to an extend), you don't have to be a good actress for star wars. it's not really a thing people watch the movies for, they just want adequate space fantasy. same way people watch hallmark-movies for the romance and happy ending, not the writing or acting. it's probably one of the reasons you don't see that many established actors in those roles.

it's also another reason ruin and jarjar deserve the shit they get and "well, they just did what they were told" is really no excuse - for one, they didn't have to, and for being high on their own farts thinking (and then fucking failing) they could write for something as piss-easy as star wars.

what interest tho? the people with genuine interest got shit on, and left when the thing they were fans off got turned into a dumpster fire, the rest were normies and faux-nerds for social media clicks that moved on when star wars wasn't the new hot thing anymore for something else to soy-grin over. the casual market is big, but also fickle as fuck. and while they are attracted by brand name alone, if it's simply shit it won't keep their attention for long because something else will come along that does.

as for transformers... well, it's a fucking kids toys franchise, however there's a reason it works so well. I suspect the same it's the same reason it worked so well for a certain dude in black.

it's also very similar to star wars in that it's a simple good vs evil story - as much as that got muddled with later movies - with enough room for action (who doesn't like watching optimus prime wrecking shit?) but an overall positive message. and that's what star wars completely missed, or woketard writers in general. the world sucks enough on it's own, the last thing (most) people want to see is even more shit and get dragged down (don't get me wrong, you can do depressing and still fucking ace it, japan is incredibly good at it), but those people simply lack the talent. in the end people just want to be entertained and leave the movie with enough positive feels afterwards. I mean when was the last time you went "fuck yeah" watching a truck drive through an explosion?

(while it may look I'm simping for bay and transformers, I just enjoy them for what they are, as silly as they might be. and compared to the rest of the current year shit....)

Better to hammer it out now than let it fester in your mind. Even if you don't put in links, I'm sure people will still find the info they want from your previous cosmic shitpost dumps.

this. better out than in.

It is no surprise the youtube traffic has died down. 4 years of speculating about all the mystery planted in The Force Awakens went no where and Rise of Skywalker left the galaxy in such a predictable and boring state that speculating seems like a waste of time. The hate watchers like Mauler and World Class Bullshiters have beat a dead horse into the ground.

It should pick up a bit as rumors about the next films gains some steam. But we have a solid year where not much is going to be happening except for disney + shows.

I mean if the next set films have Kennedy being crucified upside down: I may have a mild interest...

In an industry of pretentious and insufferable voice acting cunts, Clancy Brown really is a breath of fresh air who deserves far more appreciation than he gets, even in a positive light free of controversy.

His vocal talent is all over my childhood, from Superman: TAS to Gargoyles. He's also one of the saving graces of Savage Oppress' incredibly simplistic and derivative character.

Don't forget, he also played Montross, the badass Mandalorian who can give Jango Fett a fair fight and was a barrel full of laughs in Bounty Hunter's bloopers section.

Started the Thrawn book out of curiosity. Takeaways so far

* It's not bad. Not going to be popular on here, but its a perfectly bleh book. Nothing Wendig or Kemp level bad. Just boring and sanded down and bland.

* Wahmen. Seriously. You can tell Zahn is pitching for Disney hard. He's putting a woman into every scene. It's executed better than I expected, but still. It feels forced.

* I mentioned how sanded down this book is. Theres nothing here. No edge or insight.

Man, even after the break I took from engaging with Disney Wars (so I don't get too depressed too quickly with the state of things), they're still finding new ways to deinigrate the series and their monopoly?

Boyega's a race-baiting bitchy boy, but broken clocks are right twice. Anyhow, I guess my questions are:

1) Any word on Squadrons? Looked like the only halfway decent Disney Wars product in a while.

2) Is Galaxy's Edge still a fucking travesy?

In other news, this one particular Galaxy's Edge promo video magically gained another 3k views and not even 1/10th of the likes one day after I talked about it (maybe like 100 likes at most), thus proving they're viewbotting their own videos for artificial numbers:

2020-09-07.png

Also rather convenient the Porg video isn't gaining that many views; it only gained another 1k during the same period of time. Sure, Porgs are forced memes, but isn't it convenient that it's the only one of the three that didn't gain a magical 10k views over like two days? And it's the one video I showed off here for the example? Especially when I mentioned they couldn't even break 50k views? It's almost like this thread is being watched, and it is known that Disney goes apeshit like a cow when negative criticism is brought up.

Caught you. You fucks. Now I KNOW your trailer views for the movies are likely in part artificial, probably by a small, but noticeable margin.

It would be nice, if they actually were watching places that are critical of their properties, if they actually took it under advisement of why we're critical, but I know that is asking too much.

It's known that you can't even bring bad news in their boardrooms without trying to spin it with a silver lining, and you can't even mention it until you find good news to pair with it.

They threaten your access if you bring up issues, even if it's to try to help them. The entire board at Disney are basically cows, and with that in mind, you can now realize why they seem so spiteful and tend to double down or lie to people about their successes.

Which of course means that Disney's board will not see their coming demise until it's too late. That's good for their competitors. An enemy waltzing into the battlefield blind is an opponent you can dance around.

ANother day another study thats likely going to be used to smear Star Wars fans

Hahaha, she discredits herself by using feminism. Star Wars is about lasers.

That is so goddamn 70s that I can't help but love it.

I know. Its hard to hate something that over the top awful. I think the current era will be the same. Removed from the threat of woke bullshit, it'll be a funny thing future generations laugh at.
