I tried the watercolors again.

I can't wait to get some palettes and heavier paper (THE WRINKLING PAINS ME) so I can mix and dilute my colors a little easier. OH AND GO HOME AND DO SOME DIGITAL ART.

Watercolor is honestly my favorite form of color medium. I'm jealous of artists like you that can get it :heart-full:

Some art pieces from the last 10 years of my art career. I've been drawing since I was a little kid.

This piece was drawn a decade ago back in 2005 when I decided to make some Legend of Zelda comics as I was a huge sperg at the time about the Zelda series. I was of course in third grade when I made said decision. Still we all start out somewhere right guys?

This was around 2007 when I was in sixth grade. and I know it for a fact as I hadn't started drawing animu style yet and wouldn't until the summer of the following year. At the time I was tossing around the idea of a new comic which was more or less a Bionicle self insert type deal. I had even drawn like a page or two before giving up. Thankfully the next Bionicle comic I would draw later on down the road lasted three and a half chapters. Yes I did use crayons and lined notebook paper, but go easy on me, I was a wee little middle schooler who wasn't even halfway done with his first year of middle school at the time! *sigh*

In early 2009 when I was in 7th grade, I finally decided to enact my plans for a Bionicle comic. Over the summer of the previous year, I had picked up a "how to draw manga for dummies" book at my local library and devoured it whole as I spent the entire summer drawing "concept art" of the characters from the early years of Bionicle. As you can see, said characters were humanized for anyone here who was familiar with bionicle back in its heyday. Also of note is the fact that I was still trying to get a grip on the manga style of drawing at the time I drew this about 6 years ago. To say my manga style has improved since then is an understatement! I couldn't even draw women that well in particular much less boobs back then!

This is from the other day. Compare this woman to the "woman" in the previous drawing. Nuff said.

I am by no means the "best", but I do feel I've come quite a ways from the childish low effort art that kids generally draw that I put out in 2005 back when I was in fact a kid.

Anyway, if you guys like what you see, I may post more of my art both past and present later :)

I remember when I was really little, I was using watercolors, and I distinctly remember feeling disappointed that my results really sucked compared to some great paintings from history I remembered seeing.

Something personal-ish
The arrow just made it madder.

Also, what did you use to make that?
