To me differeces in art especially east and west is in women. In the westarn art women have small tits and dress "appopriatley" despite normal women dress whatever the fuck they want with shorts and tanktops and have big tits because women have big tits. In the east art women wear revealing clothing or clothing appropriate to the character and enviroment like normal women and have big tits. Unless you don't give a fuck and merely make characters the way you want art will get more and more woke in the west. Fuck the 10,000 sjws you are a minority that is mad at anybody and everything. But no companies hire these losers that cant make a good looking character to save their life just to appear diverse.

I fear knowing the context to this, because, on its own, it's quite good.

While this doesn’t have a lot to do with the art itself Kiana is a known shipper of Jessie and James and has done a ton of art where they’re a married couple in their 30’s, kinda odd but nothing offensive.

She also snuck characters that look very similar to them in Big City Greens, a Disney cartoon she works on, they play a big role in the episode Gramma Driver. Much like how Kiana ships the two in her art, the plz don’t sue OCs are in a romantic relationship in the show. Weird but pretty much harmless.

Aside from that she probably did it because the previous stuff with Mario princesses did so well. So not really much to ponder about aside from her inserting her weird obsession into a Disney cartoon.

the most important part of this kind of redesign should always be preserving the silhouette. If you wanted to do a black Jesse you could have given her these type of thick stiff locs in a ponytail...I can't find an exact example of what I'm talking about in real afro hair on google, but we have a lot of black guys locally that wear their hair like this

It also would have been completely possible to preserve James's angled bob with this curl type.

The whole point of Jessie's design is that she resembles an "R" as a silhouette.

That's why her hair is like that. it's to form the curve of the R for Team Rocket.

If you take out the weird obsession stuff, this is actually kind of cute, and the characters do look good!

I would be so down for a West African reimainging of Inuyasha it's not even funny. Like I said earlier, that's why this bucket-fill shit pisses me off. They don't even do the bare minimum beyond a color swap.
