I think think we should consider another bold crime deterrent of organ harvesting. I mean, we can do it humanely. There's plenty of organs they have spares of, and half a liver can regrow. Make them repay that societal debt somehow.

Most of this is easy to avoid. While there have been some instances of this bleeding into suburbs , for the most part it stays in major cities. And even in major cities its limit to a few neighborhoods, with some exceptions like Portland.

In Seattle, its been almost totally confined to where CHAZ was. Only exception I can think of is BLM hassling people in the Central District for gentrification, and the neighboring city of Bellevue getting looted at the height of the riots, though they arrested a lot of people after the fact from what I heard.

It still is very upsetting to see though.

I limited my time on Facebook. The hardcore leftists I know had blocked me, yeeted off the platform or I had blocked them for being retarded edgy bois. I stopped going to the left leaning forum because I realized you cannot reason with these people.

As for keeping sane? I have enough things to occupy my time. A huge backlog of projects, books and work to catch up on.

I essentially bunkered down. Yes, I admit it created an echo chamber that I no longer have to be challenged in. And I do wonder what the (local) leftists will do when Trump wins the election.

I believe conflict is inevitable. People will push the boundaries of whatever system is created. That is just human nature. Although I do worry our systems are in such disrepair that we may not get through the storm unscathed, I think bureaucratic inertia will limit the damage.
