The insurance company's lawyer was undoubtedly there to make sure that Moronica didn't enter into some mediated arrangement where Vic didn't reimburse their legal fees. They want their money, that interest would supersede the defendant's interest in an amicable settlement for them (although, given the defendants in this case, that wasn't an issue). If the parties to the litigation had mutally decided, 'Hey, we can work this out with a hug and an apology,' then the insurance company would have pretty good reason to decide the whole court case could have been worked out with a hug and an apology before they had to spend a dime on litigation, and refused to pay out.

Those details are always included in the non disclosure clause in agreement where no one wants anything out like the one Nik Sandmann has with CNN. But Ron who is running his mouth will blow it if he ever had to sign one being the genius he is. Keeping skeletons back in the closet.

It would depend on what the parties agreed to and the general rules. You're almost never allowed to use details from a mediation as evidence in the case itself, otherwise people wouldn't be willing to bother mediating in good faith. It would at the very least be against the spirit of mediation to use it to fish for gotchas, then attack the other party in public for what happened.
I have no idea what the rules are for this particular mediation.

I'm not sure the mere fact of who participated in the mediation is confidential, but Ron has no particularly good reason for spouting bullshit about its contents. I seriously doubt he knows the scope of the confidentiality because he's extremely fucking dumb.

So what are the consequences for exposing anything from a confidential mediation? TY is looking to slam someone for perjury (most likely Ron at this point), but I don't think he ever intended for a defendant to start using the mediation as a weapon or hold it against his client.
