Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

The big problem with Joseph McCarthy is that he was correct about communists trying to infiltrate the United States (it was the Cold War where both the United States and the Soviet Union would send in spies and influencers to screw each other over) he basically got mad with power that would lead to him destroying himself and his political career later on.

It began with Joseph McCarthy targeting the entertainment industry at the time believing that homosexual communists were infiltrating United States and also managed to blacklist several films in the attempt to 'expose' communists in the country then.

This would then escalate with Joseph McCarthy targeting writers, scientists, musicians, college professors, school teachers, historians, journalists, actors, and others that held moderate or left-wing views and this would continue on for several years.

So what finally did in Joseph McCarthy was when he broke one of the very few golden rules that no American politician should ever break, he dissed the U.S. Armed Forces where he accused people in the military of being communists and homosexuals and this is what destroyed him then.

The last thing that any American politician should do is disrespect the military because Americans see the military as the most respectable institution and Americans (especially American families that have military backgrounds) don't really take too kindly to people that openly disrespect the people on the front lines then.

This is what finally ruined Joseph McCarthy and then he became an alcoholic and drank himself to death as he faded away from being relevant.

The lesson to be learned here is that if you're going to fight monsters then you better make sure you don't become one yourself then.

Umm... the blacklist was created by the HOUSE on Unamerican Activities.

Which would have been hard for SENATOR McCarthy to participate in.

The Tydings committee never investigated Hollywood.

You're basically mixing up 2 different events in American history and getting them kind of wrong.

If you don't want to read boring stuff, random youtubers can help.

Seriously, Trump took Great Depression level numbers of unemployment (we were at 14 - 16% unemployed at one point), and he and the less retarded states knocked the number below 10% already due to reopening and relief policies. That's twice as effective as fucking FDR in less time.
obviously employment is a trailing factor to it, but in Florida all of the Disney World and Universal Parks had to turn people away this weekend because they were at (current) max capacity and DeSantis already started floating an increase in capacity last week
and to be fair to FDR it's probably a lot easier to start the car moving forward when most of the problem is some great big dummy put his foot on the brakes as opposed to the more systemic failures (as far as I understand) that were involved in the Great Depression

In terms of the economy, Obama felt like a Hoover who at least got his shit together in the end. Luckily for Trump, there wasn't another Dust Bowl (thanks 2020) to fuck up agriculture.

Pretty unbiased video on the election of '16. But my takeaway is at the beginning: "Only thing Obama could take credit for was a rebounding economy."

This is wrong mcCarthy never targeted the entertainment industry. Roy brewer was the one who spoke up against the communists there.

McCarthy's story and legacy was heavily edited by the media and was twisted.

I'm serious. I actually like Hillary Clinton. Albeit for different reasons. Yes, I voted for her in 2016. Although I don't see her running again in the foreseeable future because of her baggage.
That is because you have a fetish for old white women.

Notice how this tweet can contain multiple layers of sophistry within a single short sentence. First is the implicit statement that Trump is a fascist when he's not, and second is the false dichotomy that if you don't vote out a "fascist", then you "maybe" aren't "anti-fascist", as if there are no other considerations to making a choice during an election other than some wholly imposed and arbitrary moral binary. As if one can't vote for the "fascist" simply because they prefer his policies more than those of the "anti-fascist", among other things.

People should start noticing these multi-layered sophistries, as they will become even more prevalent than usual as we lead up to the 2020 election.

Jesus these people are fucking stupid. You cannot vote out a Fascist by definition you fucking morons a fascist does not allow himself to be voted out. This isn't even fucking politics this is basic definitions of terms.
Funny that you mention the literal definitions of terms.

Linguistic manipulation is one of the main weapons in an extremist's arsenal. Words mean nothing and words mean everything. And how do you know what a word means? Simple: you ask an adherent and they'll tell you why what you said got you lined up against the wall.

Aka "If you're against antifa, that means you're pro fascist, but also national socialism isn't actually socialist you guys!"

Hey guys, remember in 2016 when the Democratic Party screwed over Bernie Sanders, shit in our open mouths, and acted surprised when enough of us voted Green to keep Hillary out of office? Well it's 2020 and we're gonna have to ask you to eat shit again. But this time we need you to like it. We know that the party somehow managed to find even less likeable candidates this time around. But again, for the sake of fighting fascism, eat shit.

There's something I'm wondering: was it ever shown if McCarthy was right about that soldier whose trial or what have you did him in?

And don't forget to thank us for it.

No, he's accusing Pentagon weenies and fucking Nobles and Sellouts of seeking to start wars to boost profits.

You know, like the Dems accused Bush, Halliburton, and the Military Industrial Complex as well as the US government since the 1940's?

Plus, it';s not an attack on the military.

It's coming right out and saying that the civvy scumbag contractors, the Nobles, and the Sellouts are shit-bags.

But can't expect a leftist or a neo-con to understand that.
