what wrong with punk tawna I like her
Her proportions make her look like she's from a different game series
Her platforming section controls are way different than everyone elses
She towers over everyone and for a supporting or side character looks way too fucking prominent

Thing is she doesn't look so much punk rather she looks like she works for Kotaku.
It's the cat lady midlife crisis look
 
Tawna is supposed to tower over everyone. I remember doing some comparisons and her and the Trophy Girls/Nitro Squad would be about 7 or 8 feet tall. This is a design goof up due to them wanting to have leggy girls without thinking about what that actually means. Jessica Rabbit actually does the same thing, she's kinda tall. Tawna's not the only one that does this either as Berri from Conker's Bad Fur Day and Candy Kong are also absurdly tall.

I mention this because I've always been frustrated these girls are never playable. DK Barrel Blast was particularly egregious in this regard. Candy was in the game complete with boob physics and yet she's the ONLY Kong that ISN'T playable. So them making Tawna playable despite her massive size is nice. I'm a bit split on the new design but since she's alt-universe Tawna I'm okay with it (clearly from a universe where Tawna has a huge ass instead of huge tits). Mostly it reminds me of the Rust Land Grand Prix from CTR: Nitro-Fueled:

I don't get why people are calling the design "woke" or "tumblr". To me it looks more like 80s rock fashion and post apocalyptic characters, plus they didn't make her fat/ugly.
Edit: She does look a bit ridiculous next to crash and coco due to her size and proportions, but is not THAT bad since she was always taller than most of the characters.

She's taller which is fine, but she looks too much like a normal human for proportions.

The CTR Bandicoot girls didn't have this problem. They also have larger heads for their proportions which kept them in line with everyone else.

The Tawna design is really fucking confusing.

She looks more heroic than Crash or anyone else in the game. She has a girl ass, but has man legs, she walks like a brick shit house and seems to be using Metroidvania style moves.

She's got a grappling hook, wall jump, double jump, and everything you would associate with an entirely different type of platforming than what Crash is known for.

Also isn't this supposed to be tawna from an au/Alt timeline where crash failed and she saved herself? But the world ended up going to hell and a hand basket. The design would make sense if that's the case not just because she saved herself but...facts are facts people and in a survival situation short hair regardless of gender is a must, though yeah the blue highlights (aka the reason Fanboys are crying tumblr) could do without.

The fact is...this redesign is small potatoes if you think ..what if it was modern day naughty dog still making these games...need I remind you the original creators of crash bandicoot gave us this?

I want to see if they're including time trials at all because if the time trials are a pain in the ass, then it's a skip. The levels do not look like something you rush through and TFB said they're including harder levels as unlockables so fans can get old School styled Crash platforming. So there's a good chance that time trials are being axed in favor of having more levels. So the main objective now becomes unlocking alternate routes in order to 100% all levels.

Will we at least get her original outfit as an unlockable? I mean the re Fanboys almost reeeed over jill Valentine's redesign for the re3 remake but once they could get the pre order classic outfits as dlc they shit up and accepted it.

Until they learnt about the dress and other factors not being faithful. Beyond porn/smut mods, some of the most downloaded content for RE2/3 is "fixing" what the classic outfits lacked or changed.

You know this brings up a thing I've been saying for a while: I'm GLAD Naughty Dog no longer makes these games because modern Naughty Dog is actually NOT the original creators of Crash Bandicoot anymore. Pretty much everyone responsible for the first game left after Uncharted 1 including the founders of the company. Naughty Dog STARTED as just two guys making some games and they both left. Naughty Dog also is the company that once had a nude code for their logo (I think that was in General Chaos or Rings of Power?) to say nothing of the original Tawna design.

After Uncharted they even said "We don't make cartoony games anymore" and the Art of Naughty Dog book has next to no Crash or Jak artwork in it.

And then you-know-who dropped in to give "advice" on The Last of Us and well...you know the rest of the story. At this point I'm PRAYING for Naughty Dog to sell the Jak license to ANYONE else! ANYONE. They absolutely WOULD NOT do that series justice anymore. But yeah this is also why the Skylanders teams (apparently Toys for Bob, Vicarious Visions, and Beenox work together pretty closely) needed to train on how to make a Crash games by remaking the original trilogy.

Oh and I think I heard that a LOT of folks quit during/after The Last of Us 2 so now they're like...DOUBLE Not Naughty Dog. Obedient Bitch, perhaps?

So they're the american rareware? A shell of their former selves without any of the staff who made the hits of their Golden age.
