played the gamecube version. the load times were never an issue. i liked WOC but its nowhere as good as 2 or 3.
The load times just left a permanent bad taste in my mouth when it comes to that game I guess.

i remember the coco levels and the second boss having awful framerate drops.I actually had both the Gamecube and the PS2 versions because I burned a ring in the PS2 disc trying to beat the first boss. Load times were terrible in the PS2 version, hence the burned ring, but the Gamecube loaded faster. Now I'm running it on a USB drive this time, but I remember the disc being a lot faster than the PS2 anyway.
Gamecube has some chunky framerates that I don't remember from the PS2 version, but I haven't played anything but the GC version in a long time.
If it follows the original 3, expect it to be as about as plot heavy as a mainline Mario gameNever really played a Crash Bandicoot game, much less a platformer for a long time...but this looks fun. It could actually be good if it doesn't inject Whedonism or politics so I'll keep an eye out.
pre ss or post ss?Aw shit I want this. Well the N Sane Trilogy got a pc port, maybe it will happen to this to down the line.
But to address the WoC fans here, it's definitely not a bad installment for the franchise. But if I had to describe it, I'd say it's an aggressively mediocre version of Warped.

Funny enough, before the official announcement, searching Crash 4 brought up Wrath of Cortex. It actually made it a little hard for me to confirm that Crash 4 was indeed coming because I had to specify that I wasn't talking about WoC.Wrath of Cortex will always be Crash 4 in my heart.
If the game isn't that expensive on amazon will probably buy the gamecube version

You're shit out of luck dude, the Crash Bandicoot games are infamous for their politics.

There's going to be astroturfed articles about the "N" on Neo Cortex's forehead and how it's been co-opted by white nationalists.
