Conrad Aaron Collins / Diginée / Digibro / Digibrony / Otaku Gonzo Journalism & the Pro Crastinators Podcast - Pedophile, Two-Faced Weeaboo Ponyfag Youtube Analyst Who Wants to be a Loli + Drama, Friends & Enemies

'"There, a pedophile! Get him!" Conrad shouted in an attempt to drown the sobbing coming from his basement.

That's a bit of an edgy take on human nature but we must not forget he only ever listens to himself and Amanda.

This man's worldview is so narrow that all he can conceive of is anime, drugs and sex. Imagine being digibro.

Wow, fucking deep. These imbeciles were talking about wanting children just a short while ago, guess their kids will be eating out of other people's trash and wearing potato sacks.

Tried watching a few khantent videos but it honestly ain't it.

Digi being disturbingly unpleasant to look at aside, the videos just feel like two 30yo. boomers circlejerking how a medium aimed at high-schoolers doesn't cater to their sensibilities. Even the ones where they try to be positive about a show.
Don't really see what positives other people here are seeing in Nate either. Most of his takes are pretty dumb and the constant "I totally know what's going to happen, because i'm an adult and have seen several other tv shows, and everyone knows all tv shows ever are the same." is pretty cringe.

I can't really tell if they even want to be there or are just desperate for the anime cash. The channel is giving me the impression that Digi is super done with anime and would cut it out of his life if he could.

In the past Digi and Nate talking about anime has worked alright in podcast form, I would listen to it in the background and it was mildly amusing/informative at times. I don't understand the point in trying to pivot to video format, like they think they're making the RedLetterMedia of anime but it's just a podcast with an unnecessary video component now. It's not like they show relevant clips from the anime when they're talking or anything. Again it's not terrible but I don't see why they thought this project warranted it's own channel, seems like that's gonna make it even harder to gain traction, I seriously hope they aren't banking on this becoming super popular or whatever.

Apologies if this is off-topic or was brought up before, but Hippocrit has submitted a comic for the 100th Tezuka Manga Awards. I first heard him talk about it on episode 212 of the PCP (timestamp 17:12), where he said he was gonna submit something to the special international department (normally this contest is exclusive to Japan, but to celebrate its 100th anniversary they allowed participants from overseas to enter). Here's proof Hippo's entry made it, it'll be screened by judges who are all established manga artists as well:

He streamed the entire drawing process and even submitted the comic live on stream, at least according to these tweets. Also, the contest was open from May 1st to September 1st, but I guess waiting to do the bulk of the work till the very last second is typical PCP behaviour. Note that his 'pronoun experiment' took place during this time frame.

Now there, Hippo, ragging on Two Piece isn't very nice and feminine of you! At the time of writing, Two Piece has 141K views while his comic barely broke 15K (not that views reflect a work's quality or affect his odds of winning, just stating statistics).

The results will be announced in early December, for those who care enough to keep an eye out.

I think this was Digi's plan all along...

That has always been the goal. PCP HQ, Radcon, collabs like Khantent, etc. have always been about trying to achieve a similar aesthetic and success as RedLetterMedia. Digi has been open about this ever since around the first Radcon when Davoo and Ben moved in and they made the set in Digi's old house to capture this feeling. Of course Digi did jack all utilizing Davoo and Ben in his content and that chance to experiment with the idea failed due to laziness. And the Radcons have been especially shit outside of maybe the lectures.

They came somewhat close to it with the Pleeb and the Weeb, but like everything else, that's an abandoned project.
I'd be up for a PleebWeeb revival... with Nate as the Jay and Jesse as the Mike.
No Conrad, not even as the Rich Evans.

Jesus Christ, the balls (no pun intended) to present that kind of thing to a professional contest.
I know 90% of the submissions are gonna be on that level and lower, but man.

Also what's his beef with Two Piece? I'm fully clueless on all of this.

ikr? I had a lil peek at the comic after reading all his progress tweets, and it felt very lackluster. I’m no artist by any means, so I dunno if such a simple art style warrants that much time spent, but this looks like a hastily drawn web comic not something deserving the motherfucking Tezuka award.

Two Piece is another entry in this contest, he just hates the name and how the comic’s based on One Piece. On the PCP he said the artwork was shitty, but I haven’t seen it to confirm. I think he’s just salty and bitter.

There's plenty of adult-oriented anime out there that isn't porn that he could spend series as long as his AssWar analysis dissecting, but he's admitted that he hasn't watched most of them. His takes on anything deep and nuanced are also very, very shallow. His review of Madoka Magica was quite heavily criticized for completely missing much of the symbolism and him being obviously mystified by most of the themes. In many ways, he's the anime equivalent of a fake gamer girl. He only really knows anything about the most iconic older shows like Evangelion, and really has no deeper background in anime history that would impress a die-hard enthusiast. He also spends so much time cramming trash so he can make dull hot takes that he burns himself out before getting to anything more sophisticated.

Calling that they announce a DDLG relationship in the next month, the twist is May is the Daddy
They once joked that Amanda was his "daughter from the future", so it's funny as fuck in retrospect to see her taking his name and role in the relationship. I wouldn't put it past them to go full DDLG with it since the granny jammies are just accelerating the loli larping.

Just to add while Hippocrit is still being talked about, in the latest PCP he mentioned:
  1. Still using female pronouns
  2. Tried femising his voice (Too much effort to keep it up)
  3. Shaving his legs
  4. Buying skirts on Amazon
There was also a bit at the end where Ben was squirming on a voicemail asking about something he had said on gender but he took so long trying to explain it away I ended up skipping through most of it.

To be fair, Hippo's main reason for entering wasn't to win. It was just to see if he (she?) could finish a project in a limited amount of time. While I'm not the biggest fan of the art style or the story, the fact that he's doing and finishing projects on a semi-regular bases puts him miles ahead of most of the remaining PCP members.

Edit: typos

Buying skirts on Amazon
Now wait here a goshdarned minute, didn’t he say he wasn’t thinking of wearing “poofy dresses”, which skirts also fall under if that’s his understanding of feminine clothing? Cuz you know, all women wear victorian dresses and are nice n shit.

Good point, committing to and completing projects does make him better than the work-ethic-void that’s the rest of the PCP.

Everyone who uses this thread to get anime recommendations or youtuber recommendations or whatever actively clogs the thread and I hate it

Go ask your faggot anime club this question
If you make inane statements like "there is adult-oriented anime" then I believe some validation is in order. Iirc, most anime airs at ridiculous times in Japan when no functioning adult would be awake. There might be adult-oriented anime (or not) but it's so obscure that no western youtube channels would survive featuring it.
