Well said about Trump being a manchild. I wish Trump would get better staffers that wouldn't encourage him to appeal to QAnon and conspiracy boomers to win the election.

If he didn't do that, then maybe we'd see less of this shit about Trump supporting the anti-mask, "just the flu" types in the news. I can't say I like Biden either, but either way, we're fucked all around. Being a true moderate is how to do shit instead of supporting either extreme. It's not fence sitting to be a moderate, it's rational.

Let me clarify and oversimply it for you. He's appealing to the worst of the worst, including the conspiracy theorists that believe shit like 5G somehow causing people to get sick. You can bitch and moan all you want about mask mandates and all that shit being unconstitutional, I don't give a shit whether you get COVID over it or not. I'm still doing it because I've got people in my life that I'd be terrified of spreading it to considering they have underlying conditions.

If more anti-mask people said "I'm not wearing a mask but you can wear one", I'd be fine, but so many of these people screech and moan over others wearing this shit because it either suffocates you or offers no protection.

Man I remember local TV news back during Dubya's... hell, I think it might have been the first term, not even the second... completely dropping all subtlety and just blatantly editorializing during the regular newscast about how the Quagmire™ in Iraq needed to end, while showing a graphic of troops with the words "Bring them home" over it. They weren't even saying he should, they were outright demanding it, that's how much they claimed to care about our precious troops coming home from other sovereign nations with sacrosanct borders.

Are there any legit 5G -> disease believers? I saw some people make a joke but otherwise I haven't actually seen anybody make that claim with any sincerity. Most I saw is some complaints about China based 5G and the general China bitching over those disease. It really looks like a lefty meme they started taking seriously.
