I may or may not be a parent but sometimes even I feel like it's gone a bit far.
But in a way I can understand. If I found out my daughter had been scamming people on the internet (and me) her entire adolescent life (started at 12 according to crook I think), I don't know what I'd do. I know I'd feel shame for visiting that horror on the world, shame for being fooled by my child. Shame that I couldn't have done a better job, even though sometimes kids are just fucked up no matter how much help you give them.
Part of me wants to say that they should just stop because you can't force a kid like this to come home... and you may not even want her to at this point. She's a fucking psycho and who knows what she's capable of. If she's willing to do this to them, what is she willing to do to her siblings to get her way now that her true nature has been revealed? If she were my kid I would try to maintain contact but I would need a breather period after all this, especially the video.
It's all pretty sad. But those two are obviously working some shit out, and whatever happens it's an entertaining fire to look at.
I think if it had been anyone but Ethan whisking her away they may have had a chance to get her back. Now she's seen that she can survive without them, and inflict a lot of pain on them with minimal effort. Even if Ralph tosses her out she'll find another hole to crawl into because she wants to behave like a rotten little shit, unfettered and free.
I know the Vickers read this, I had a different opinion of you guys when this all started because I thought Faith was a different kind of person. Most of us did. But she's not, be careful where she's pushing you guys to. You have several other children that love you and need your attention, don't let her rob you of what's left of your family for her entertainment. Not saying you shouldn't try and help her, but just not at expense of the kids that are still there.

I've seen other couples go through similar things the Vickers are with adult children and a bit of levity and the ability to joke about a fucked up situation is necessary to cope with shit like this. You can draw a line wherever you want and mark what you think is a bridge too far but I get it.

Just watched the Faith statement and it was pretty hilarious. Her lack of emotion other than seemingly occasional derision to her parents makes her seem like she is seething. She says her dad is jeopardizing her civil suit by releasing the information but, does not specify the information like her faking abuse because it would make her look bad. Implicitly admits Ralph released the text by saying he did not release revenge porn since she consented to the recording. Then the whole thing about them being mad how they got together but does not mention she literally ran away, stole her families belongings, and ditched her sick grandma.
After watching it a second time it reminds me of a little kid angry that things are not going their way more than anything.

She's so far made it clear she consented to the filming but has carefully avoided saying whether or not she consented to the release. If she ever decides she didn't consent she can go to the cops before the 2 year period runs out and the authorities have said they'd haul Ralph off back to jail. So she's got this sword of Damocles over Ralph's head she can release at any moment.
Unfortunately, it seems like she's decided she's not going back to her folks and it seems like she doesn't want to live with her grandmother. That means she needs to find another unsuitable boyfriend to replace Ralph. No doubt she'll tell said boyfriend what a bastard Ralph is, how he released the revenge porn and how she's trying to get away from him.
It's actually interesting if you listen to her statement carefully she blames her parents for sabotaging her attempts to get one of her previous alleged abusers prosecuted, even though they've done no such thing. That makes me think that that abuser doesn't really exist and was invented by her to manipulate her parents, Chris and Ralph.
As far as Ralph goes the more I think of it the funnier it is that he apparently called Godwinson 'the final boss of the Internet' and blames him for 'weaponizing PPP'. Actually Ralph weaponized PPP when he or his minions sent the starfish pictures to PPP's church and got him kicked out. PPP didn't even know Godwinson until after that.
The subtitles on the dogs' barking still makes me laugh.
