If she is truly a survivor of sexual assault and understands just how horrific a scenario that is then why would she falsely accuse someone of any type of physical abuse? If she was actually victimized you'd think she would have a pretty firm grasp on just how serious an accusation that is. The sad truth however is that she doesn't even have a firm grasp on reality at this point. The fact that she would publicly (or even privately) slander her own father in some sort of attempt to control the narrative is very telling of her character. There's only so long she can slide by on the "I'm young and rebellious" card before her family has a "Come to Jesus" moment and realizes that associating with a mentally ill sociopath will only further hurt their family. At a certain point you have to cut your losses when someone like her is unwilling to seek treatment. As to my original point she should be afforded no sympathy if her own callous actions lead to her case getting thrown out. I honestly doubt there is even a case to begin with but that's just me.

Not sure what they think they may sue the Vickers for. Lets say its for the property that Faith claims is hers, can she prove any of that? this reminds me of an old story. i had a friend whos sister was 16 and started dating a guy who was 20. the first thing the guy did was to met her parents and ask for their permission before dating their daughter and they accepted (its not illegal were i live to date/have sex with 15 year olds if you are an adult but people will give you the weird look). I had similar thoughts to yours, I'm sure many had. That was before learning that the Vickers have been trying to get their daughter back for more than a couple months without much hope. Simply having faith or getting authorities involved won't do much. (Just realised that extremely gay unintentional pun)

It's the gunt we are talking about. He is a harpy and makes every aspect of his life public. He released a sex tape to pwn another online creeper of their daughter. I personally don't think that methhead is malicious, he strikes me as a socially awkward tard. His last comment was something along the lines of "I'm in a relationship"? I just don't see a better solution. This situation isn't the best either, of course most would be happier if the officials get involved and capture the gunt. Sometimes however, it's a choice between bad and worse, much like the upcoming 2020 election. In this case, worse is trying to get her back which they've tried for months. Are they good parents? Well, yes and no. Yes, they obviously loved and coddled their daughter, spoiled her with choices. No, they coddled her too much as by their admission, giving her a phone at 14 was the biggest fuck up.

While I do think Ralph had a helping hand in drafting Faith's statement, I also think some of my fellow Kiwis are underestimating her involvement in it.

Keep in mind that up until current events she has for years been able to live an easy life full of all the drama she can dream up and lie about, be it sexual assaults (that one seem to be a favourite of hers), stalkers and abuse. For example, before the Ralph thing blew up, she was 'dating' a guy online that she had been sharing nudes with, all the while telling her parents that he was a creepy stalker. Lying for her own convenience is sadly something Faith discovered early on that she is very good at.

The problem with this kind of compulsive lying is that eventually everyone, even well meaning parents, begin to wonder how on earth all these rather novel incidents seem to happen to one person. In Faith's case, her "one too many lie" was when she was to meet up with Ralph at Dax's place. From then on things started to unravel and she will gladly blame her 'too nosy' family for messing up her adventure.

I suspect that right now, Faith resents her parents just as much as Ethan does and she wants nothing more than to make them hurt for it. Or do you really think she is staying with him in squalor because she finds him attractive or charming? That she can pull off pretending - probably even to herself - to have affection for him is a testament to her acting skills.
For the foreseeable she will keep hating her parents, but eventually that too will grow stale and she'll shift her focus to someone else, probably Ethan.

It's that whiny tinge to it, like a problem she caused is everyone elses fault and the world is collapsing because of it. If someone you're dating complains about something and you hear that tinge in their voice, look for the warning signs.
