My tinfoil had theory is that reethan was diddled as a kid by a close family member. Might explain why his dad isn't in the picture, but it could have been a rando in the community or another family member.

Faith comes off to me like every sheltered 18-20 year old. They think because they're technically an adult they deserve to be given respect and taken seriously. When in reality they have not accomplished anything in their life yet. They also still have that cringey disdain for their parents. The craziest thing to me is how anyone over the age of like 22 doesnt realize this. Mr Vickers is completely correct when he said Ralph really is 15 mentally. Ralph putting up with all of this just makes me more curious about his life. How can you be over 30 and so mentally stunted?

She was just grifting man, just like Ralph grifts for the right. These people can't see beyond themselves and satisfying their immediate desires, much less have some kind of true position. Ralph doesn't care about saving the hu-wite race, he cares about gathering all the lemons of the alt-right and using them to buy booze. Same with Faith, she doesn't care about BLM or trannies, she just wants to use them to line her pockets so she can buy chibi anime trash and feel like somebody on the internet just like the rest of the grifters.

And wouldn't she have been like 6 years old when the Obama phone stuff started? Wasn't that 2008? Jesus fucking Christ she would've been in first grade when Obama first came in, that just opens new dimensions of wrongness for me.

The level of effort required to obtain a fifteen-day order is minimum and requires little time, effort, or money. There's no filing fee for a restraining order in the state of Virginia, nor is it necessary to retain a lawyer for one. Restraining orders are explicitly designed to be accessible to people who are indigent. I'm not sure where the idea that it costs an arm and a leg to get a restraining order comes from, but it's simply wrong. The real barrier for Ralph would be getting a judge to extend the order once the preliminary filing expired. Even so, the relative cost to Ralph for attempting to get one is very low. Protective orders are enforceable through direct and indirect methods of contact across state lines, so it is entirely possible to at least partially restrain Mr. Vicker's public communications, insofar as they are related to contacting Ralph or Faith.

As for what Ralph may sue Vickers for, I don't think there's realistically a viable case because it's such a disfavored tort, but intentional infliction of emotional distress. A lot of people seem to think that Ralph having no money and the Vicker's (apparently) having a decent savings is a disadvantage to Ralph, but it's really sort of a benefit to Ralph. Ralph is extremely undesirable as a target of litigation because he has basically no money that could recovered as damages, as what little savings he has would be absorbed by fees and he has no real assets. By contrast, Vickers has a successful business and apparently can drop 10K at the drop of a hat to hospitalize his daughter. Ralph merely needs to find a seedy plaintiff's attorney that would take him up on contingency (would be hard, but not impossible, given what some lawyers will do for a "high profile" case) and get him past a motion to dismiss and summary judgment.

But even if Ralph can't find a lawyer to hire on contingency, I think you still underestimate Ralph's ability to cut his nose to spite the face. With the way all these gay legal threats have been exchanged between Mr. Vickers and Ralph, I think it's an inevitability that someone is going to file something eventually, regardless if it's legitimate or not. Would Ethan Ralph file a completely spurious lawsuit and lose a ton of money just to have it blow up in his face? I don't know, would he illegally leak his own sex tape to hundreds of thousands of people because some mid-twenties kid was saying he's a cuck?

While you are right on the cost, what judge would look at the facts and believe that there's a reason for a restraining order? She's not in contact with her family, the threats have been one sided on Ralph's part (except for Vickers saying he'll go to the cops) and as much as Ralph and Faith want to pretend, the Vickers have not done or shared anything illegal.
I can't imagine a restraining order sticking with the amount of evidence that Vickers has on his side.
