Michigan, USA
Operation Haircut took place today on the Capitol lawn. Barbers and stylists offered free haircuts, in apparent violation of Governor Whitmer's executive orders and of Michigan regulations which forbid the cutting of hair outside of a licensed establishment. Michigan State Police were on hand to issue $1000 citations for disorderly conduct to various individuals.
No major incidents. Two men, one of them armed, started shouting at police who were citing Angela Regas, a barber from Caledonia, but she told the shouters that she could handle the situation herself in court, and they stopped.
Karl Menke, the 77-year-old barber from Owosso mentioned earlier in this thread, was among those present.
Also present was State Senator Kevin Daley, (R-Lapeer), who got a haircut from Suzanne Dodoro, of Holly, MI.
The protest was organized by the Michigan Conservative Coalition, which has also started a GoFundMe to pay the citations.
NOTE WELL: That hyperlink below does not mean 1000 citations were issued. It means the citations were for the amount of $1000.

Cutting the hair of anyone except an immediate family member without a license is illegal in Michigan, as is cutting hair outside of a licensed barbershop, even by licensed barbers.* (

*There are exceptions, of course. I do not know if any of them apply to this particular protest.

ETA: Seven barbers ticketed altogether, out of a dozen or so who were present. This news article says the citations were only for $500.
