I dunno, this came up at a normie gathering I was at, someone was just flipping through Netflix on their TV and stopped at this and was like "wtf is this pedo shit?" and a couple people started joking about Jeffrey Epstein being alive in France. This was mostly fairly center-left Democrats, although of the "I just wanna grill" type, not the defending troons type. It isn't just some Farms meme that this shit is fucked up.

The left is bad because they cancel people when they see something that they do wrong such as being transphobic or racist
Naturally most people on the right see this as bad because they want to be able to make edgy jokes without fear of losing their job. Dick is trying to equate this form of cancel culture with that of pedophiles Trying to say that the right uses Purity spiraling as a means to excommunicate with members of its own community. However he fails to understand that most people outside of the internet if you come to them with your weird ideas about pedophilia would tell you to get fucked. No union guy is going to give half a shit about what you say about pedophilia. In fact I would say it's probably one of the most uniting issues across political parties. This is seen when leftist called Trump a pedo for hanging out with Epstein or the reverse is said about Biden.
The only people who have this take are pseudo intellectuals and pedophiles trying to justify their actions

Sort of, but I honestly think that Dax is a paedo who's just using free speech as an excuse (which doesn't really make sense because there's no law against advocating that shit, people just think it's disgusting). His own sexual behaviour suggests that something is amiss.

Dax is currently pointing to the journalist to prove it's not CP. The journalist are going for it's a right wing conspiracy to attack the movie, Four Chan caused the outrage, it's actually about the evils of sexualizing children, it's an empowering movie, etc. Everything that falls apart when you realize there's a scene where an 11 year old shows off her chest and the camera focuses on it.
