When looking at or interacting with overweight people, most would be focused on the interaction & 1 of the few reasons I can think of where people would focus on weight when simply looking, is because that person is REALLY overweight. What 'truth' about a body does Ms. Gay think people are determined to ascertain? If she's talking purely cosmetics, people see what they see - a fat body.

And yes, when you present to the world, you ARE your body. You are its height, weight, cleanliness, state of dress & grooming & until you enter into any kind of interaction with someone else, that's all they "know" & that isn't going to change until such transactions occur & those transactions may amend how they see you but aren't going to change first impressions significantly.

The 'beauty standards' whining. I get it, it's not pleasant to not come up to whatever your culture's standards are when it comes to beauty but at best, most people are fairly average with only your standard Bell Curve type numbers rating really unattractive or stunningly gorgeous. But all the reeing in the world about how it's not fair is not going to change how people react to looks. Is much of that a mere societal construct? Maybe but a lot of it is also innate behavior based on hundreds of thousands of years of evolution.

And that is not something anyone is going to change overnight - if at all.

Fucking this. There was a huge uproar in insta between local FA's and a bopo influencer who happens to be thin. These fat women shamed the athletic one and had a 1 hour instatalk about how BoPo ISNOTFORSKINNIES and how THIN PEOPLE SHOULDN'T TAKE UP SPACE FROM FAT FOLX!!!! It was amazing and infuriating at the same time. The healthy individual ended up blocking the fatties because they targeted her and sent their acolytes to harass her. It's all in non-english so I won't post that shit here. Oh and of COURSE the fatties were fucking triggered when they got called out for their shitty behaviour.

Her hair is always blue and she colors her eyebrows blue too. Yes, she is just as pleasant of a person as she looks like.

Here’s the thing about taking up space from fatfolk online: you fucking can’t. It’s the internet, it’s infinite. We’re not running out of space on the internet. “Thin women need to make themselves less visible” is retarded and exactly what I’d expect from these idiots. When these people say “you’re taking away space from fat people” what they mean is “you’re taking away attention from fat people,” and you know what? It’s the internet. If people wanted to pay attention to you, they would have sought you out. Your posts would be inundated with likes and comments. Shit people want to see gets attention on the internet. You can’t force the world to want to look at you by posting even more of yourself and trying to shut down any competing images of more conventionally attractive people. The internet is not a desert island full of desperate men that you can deprive of thin pretty women until they have no choice but to fuck you or the inside of a coconut. You cannot make people find you more attractive by shoving more of yourself in people’s faces...only by taking away all their other choices, and you can’t conceivably do that.

They’re gonna look at pictures of people they find more attractive, and they will do it more often than they look at pictures of women eating grubby boxes of pizza with their stomach flab spilling out. At the very least you'll end up with two opposing sides, someone will just disappear into the jungle and embrace being a loner and a pig will end up on a stick.

It's why sport is so important. We need outlets for this energy. People get to divide, fight and then laugh about it all over a beer afterwards.
