U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

Maybe this is TMI, but I currently live close to the Clackamas Fire in OR. A lot of rumors about potential arson are going around in my IRL circles, some of which may very well be true. Listening to Clackamas Co Sheriff's Department scanners has been interesting. Despite a curfew, there have been multiple reports of people setting off fireworks and other incendiary devices and harassing witnesses. It could be nothing, but under the current circumstances, it seems suspicious
AFAIK police are still looking for the tattooed man who was seen trying to set fires along Highway 58 (interestingly, one of the only major traffic corridors in the state not already dotted with or otherwise impacted by blazes).
I am not as confident saying this about the blazes farther south or near the coast, but given some of the things that have been happening near Portland Metro, Vancouver, Eugene and Salem lately (and given how rapidly fires started in succession along major traffic arterials) it does seem likely that there were organized, intentional efforts involved.

My favorite fake-out from Snopes right now is the one about the Jacob Blake sexual assault. They basically say, "He had a warrant for sexually assaulting a woman, not actually a child--FALSE!"

Oh that makes it alright then!! He sexually assaulted a woman!!!!

This explains the MeToo bullshit. The left love to rape so it was a cover for their guilty conscience. So we know based off their various campaigns, that they're racist and like to rape. Nice bunch.

Total and complete obfuscation: he DID remove shit tons of USPS boxes, as was claimed....but not for POLITICAL REASONS!

It's insanely accurate...BUT FICTION, so NOT predictive. Yet these faggots look at tricorders and like, yep, Star Trek is REAL.

My personal fav. Whatta crock of shit.

The most blatant thing I've seen from Politifacts was where Bernie Sanders, and Ron Paul both said "there was no federal income tax prior to 1913." They rated Ron Paul's comment as "pants on fire," but Bernie Sander's comment as "mostly true." In reality, it's almost completely true.

It's literally true. The Sixteenth Amendment was passed and ratified (in 1913) specifically because the Constitution forbade a federal income tax (at least in any way remotely similar to what we call a federal income tax now). There was a federal income tax in 1861 to fund the Civil War, and while its constitutionality was upheld it was not terribly similar to our current regime.

It's pretty ridiculous to call it "pants on fire" though and when nearly identical statements from different speakers get a different rating you really have to wonder why.

It's too bad Snopes got so bad though because it used to be a near-universal argument-ender. It got worse and worse with the lack of involvement by the Mikkelsons, who did a mostly excellent job through the history of the site.

So are they actually evacuating Portland? Or is this the surrounding area?

I really doubt they'd let a city burn, but if they have to fight a fire and do evac on the edges, it gives Antifa room to set fires and attack buildings further in the city.

Portland is not under evacuation orders but it's not in the realm of the impossible anymore which, I don't know how to explain just how insane that is. My folks have lived here for generations and the last time anything like that happened was before any great-grandparent's memory.

Going to make a shitty paint map to try to explain roughly what is happening in terms of Kiwi Points of Interest:

Black marks are protest sites. Red star is the mall where the Trump rallies start, aka "Chudsville" in the approximation of antifa, who are fixated on that being where they "belong." Red marks are on fire and evacuated. Orange is preparing to evacuate. Yellow is on standby.

I've been watching that sperg. He likes to larp as a fire dispatcher. He doesn't seem to actually do anything other than copypasta from other scanner logs but he acts like he is the Portland Antifa Fire Marshal. It is odd and something about him gives me a bad feeling. Even before the whole state went up in flames I wondered if he was just some sad faggot with thwarted search and rescue aspirations or if he is actually a pyro.

OK, when are we going to get to ACTUAL FUCKING ANTI TERRORISM?

For fuck's sake, Obama can drone strike an American citizen without a fucking trial, but fucking TOWNS are being burned down, looters being allowed to drive off with everyone's stuff, and they're arresting fucking INCELS?

Fucking people driving down the road throwing fucking MOLLIES out the windows, cars being pulled over with axes, chainsaws, and fucking gas cans, and ANTIFA LARPing as fire fighters in clean uniforms, with clean stuff, and carrying GAS CANS on their backs...

But oh, no, we better watch out for some fucking fat neckbeard who posts "LOL WOMYN DUM".

Get. This. Shit. Under. Control.

Should we have a 2020 North American Wildfire/Conflagaration Megathread? I think it might be worthwhile if we have the Chauvin trial (and accompanying unrest) and eventually election-related rioting going on at the same time as potential arson investigations and/or continued arson incidents. That way, we wouldn't have quite as many discussions going on at the same time in this one thread.

Depending on how the Chauvin hearing goes, the rioting that follows might be the worst thing to have happened on September 11th.
Besides George W. Bush?

By the way if anyone is too young to know/remember, the US government sold the steel from WTC twin towers to China (for smelting) at rock bottom prices with no forensic investigation done prior.

I've come to learn that when Snopes or Politifact actually address an issue, it's politically motivated and--while I don't advocate being a tinfoil hat wearer--maybe you should be skeptical, and look into the allegations that made them feel the need to "address" and fact check.

It's disturbing to me what they'll go after vs what they don't go after.

This was a real article displayed over (read: censorship) any post approving of Kyle Rittenhouse's actions, which was displayed on facebook and verified as an "official fact check"
:'(
1984 was supposed to be a science fiction book...

Honestly, I think the US would be better off if Portland were consumed by fire, Chicago 1871 style. I don't wish death on anyone (except antifa and Mike Schmidt in minecraft) but sometimes cities just need to be wiped off the face of the planet. The ancient Jews knew this. The Greeks knew this. The Romans knew this. The Persians knew this. If Jericho deserved to be destroyed, Portland deserves it seven times over.

Yeah no. Then they'll just move out to other areas and infect them at an increased rate. Keeping Portland/Seattle around to try and contain them is probably the best option.

I have a feeling some of you will need to see this before media gets fucking pozzed as fuck today about Trump and the 11th of September. Possibly declaring 2020 the "worst 9/11 of all time" or something wildly revisionist.

Trump phone interview about the twin towers. He mentions the collapse seems like a "bombing," a bid at a "Trump presidency" (in 2001), and how he is shocked right after his associate Silverstein bought the WTC "a week earlier."

Also: Really weird seeing anchors talk to Trump in a respectful way.

Just as there is a proving grounds for lolcows there needs be a proving grounds for disasters. Not just america.

Just a reminder that after attempting to actually destroy the country this year backfires on the far left and it's cheerleaders, a lot of insecure Democrats that encouraged throwing out the baby with the bathwater are gonna be feverishly clawing their wallpaper until the media tells them they are just victims of another Russian Facebook Disinformation campaign that everyone is complicit in but them... AGAIN.

Hillary and others are already placing the seeds for this in interviews, so be prepared to hear about the next 4 years like the last 4 and these current events never happened.

I think there should be. Its a related, but entirely distinct happening from the protests, and the arson allegations would likely get lost in this thread.
