The sad truth is because we are as divided as ever, people look for substitutions. Just like Mukbang, its all just there to replace things that should be there in real life. They have to laugh and agree otherwise that darkness sets in and they realize they have nothing worth while. So what do they do? They have nothing better in their life to focus on, no family, friends or future. They exist simply numb their own pain of existence while they wait for the sweet release of death so that they can no longer hurt.
