What is it about "content creators" that make them constantly treat their audiences like children?

RT is one big ivory tower, they're being funny and it is us plebs that simply don't get how funny they are and just say mean things in the comments.

Aside from Ryan and Fiona, the rest are literal whos to me.

Oh wow, the guy directing it is also writing and voicing Raymond. And with such pedigree as directing..death battle. Can't wait for RWBY 2.0 with less jokes and more puddle-deep storylines.

It actually comes off as boomer. Who the fuck is only just now discovering that stream chats are mean in Year of Our Lord 2020 when streaming is as massive as it is? You could probably find a 7-year old with a sharper grasp of new media.

Not like that shit is worth paying for anyways. But, instead of just making chat First only, they're just gonna do everything offline. Even when DSP's chat got bad they just made it sub only. Imagine lacking such a spine that you pull an Ice Poseiden instead of banning and dealing with the issue at hand. Thems snowflakes for ya.
The King of Hate is so powerful that even a multi-billion dollar megacorporate subsidiary is a feeble, dying candle measured against the star-like inferno of his indomitable will.
DSP looks rational compared to a multi million dollar Internet company owned by AT&T? How do you fuck up that badly?

That'd be fine...if they didn't keep shoehorning in Fiona "Human Parrot" Nova into their videos.
She can be hit or miss honestly.

I’m come to the conclusion that the best way to enjoy anything is to avoid social media. Both the one who created the thing and for the fandom itself.

And people wonder why Burnie left, because he realized he probably couldn't get rid of the insufferables like Barbara and Miles.

I see it more like he realized that Rooster Teeth was no longer the same company he co-founded.

I think he realised that Rooster Teeth was only ever going to be a failed prototype for a new media company and being in his mid-40s didn't want to risk any more years trying to make it work when he could start fresh, which is good entrepreneurial thinking.

Didn't he also leave the US for Tds reasons? or maybe i'm misremembering.
From his statement, all he said he was allowed to say was that it was for a new job IIRC.

When do you think he realized that?

I've heard he was planning his exit for two years, but I'm sure he started doing a lot of thinking after the buyout from Warner closed.
It was for two years, I mentioned that in the RWBY thread, which is what led me to suspect why folks (sans Joel) were jumping ship left and right. Meanwhile, idiots like Barbara and Miles who are too busy A-logging over Trump, can't be bothered to read the writing on the wall.

They're not even hiding it anymore, are they?
