In my opinion, the simplest explanation is that they defend their own tribe and consistently try to advance the interests of said tribe. There are jews out there that do rape kids, Patrick Little isn't lying about that, but surely those child molesters are useful to the cause of jews somehow. Their repudiation by gentiles would surely lead to another shoah.

I am aware that not all jews believe the same thing on every issue. Also I love Israel despite her gratuitous war crimes, and I love the jews for their rich culture that may have taken my foreskin, who needs one anyway.

If Trump and the RNC actually gave a shit they'd go after Netflix for violating the already existing US laws against sexualized images of children and essentially get the notion of obscenity back on the agenda. The left will die on the hill of defending Netflix and Cuties and that's a position the vast majority of the US population thinks is degenerate.

And if you look at things like the Dost test the already existing laws are actually pretty strict. Certainly more than they would be in some shithole like France where you can be prosecuted for hate speech for saying that borders might be a useful thing to have in a global pandemic but softcore CP is so accepted that anyone criticizing is seen as a bit culturally naive.

No one, especially people who post on the fucking Kiwifarms of all places is advovating a banning of degenerate smut. I would not support any such banning, it'd be unconstitutional anyway since the Supreme Court ruled ages ago that such material is protected under the 1st Amendment.

Exactly. That's what Maddax doesn't grasp, this particular movie and what happens with it is not the problem. The fact that a movie like this one (with that type of visual content and themes) can be marketed as innocuous social-commentary or even wholesome family entertainment is the problem.

They're nowhere near as strict as you'd think just reading the statutory language, if you look at what has actually been successfully prosecuted under them, which is, from the descriptions in the case itself and subsequent cases, entirely material that nearly everyone would consider actual CP, i.e. flat out nude pictures or video with no conceivable purpose but gratification. It hasn't been used, as some argued it would be, to go after anything all that questionable. Needless to say, you have to read the text, because the content itself isn't available.

Needless to say, the legality issue is a side issue (unless Zodiac makes it otherwise). Simply because something is not illegal or "barely legal" does not mean one is obligated to endorse it.

I am in favor of banning a large portion of degenerate smut, restricting access through certain channels, and/or placing a lot more regulation on smut-related industries. For example, I think all hardcore porn should have to be made and produced by "amateurs" who are owners of their own / the producing studio. I don't equate degenerate smut to speech. What I don't want to ban is politically advocating for loosening / tightening smut restrictions at reasonable venues.

Lolicon specifically is already banned under obscenity laws. Those laws are just rarely enforced unless something else is also going on. As far as I can tell, it's sort of like how the Justice system in functional cities will charge obvious gang members up to no good with minor drug possession.
