Umm, have you ever considered that someone's religious beliefs aren't their whole identity? People have to offer much more interesting things about themselves than just ramblings about their religion. I'm most likely just typing this for a wall to read, but I'll type it out anyway, just because someone is a Christian/insert other religion here, doesn't mean they can't date/marry/have a relationship with someone with different beliefs because people's identities don't consist only of their religious beliefs. And people generally don't pick their friends/lovers based on their religion alone, because again, people's identities don't consist of religion only, and they're much happier and live a fuller life. Even some Kiwis here can testify to that.

She does come across as desperate for an identity, or to be seen as different or "special." You can see it in her insistence on using special lingo for mundane things. She can't say that she was dating a guy, she has to say he was a "concubine." She can't say she was engaged to someone, she calls is something else. Labor is "birth pangs," she can't just say she breastfeeds, but must specify the exact method and practice. She uses "barren" to mean any woman on birth control of any kind, where any other english speaker would recognize it to mean a woman who is infertile.
