Netflix's "Cuties" - The Preteen Sexual Objectification Equivalent of "Funny Games"

I think that if the movie had used adult actresses that just looked young and made the characters somewhere in their teens instead of 11, that would take care of the biggest problems. Because, at the end of the day, for this movie to even be made a bunch of actual kids had to be directed by adults to perform these hyper sexual actions again and again until they got them right. The content of the movie is gross and bungles the message they say they wanted, but what went on in production is far worse. They didn't need to use actual child performers to do this.

So, which girl will be the first to write an memoir describing their exploitation, and how soon will it get published?

My money's on glasses girl (fuck if I care enough to learn their names). Least photogenic and has the deadest eyes. Publishing is 10 years out, they gotta get out from under their parents and spend a year or so coming to terms with how fucked up that whole process was, plus the writing process will take some time too.

From the Wikipedia article:

Just failing the Dost test isn't enough for it to be declared obscene. And if you're not aware, the courts have tended to err on the side of "artistic merit" in an absurd number of cases, so that prong of the Miller test is pretty hard to get past.

It's not exactly a slam dunk case.
This is why I think it's a very big risk for the American Right and the government to take legal action against Netflix because they will lose then.

So when it comes to the track records of the American Left and the American Right, I know their track records very well.

Now when it comes to gun rights and also religious freedom, the American Right is at their strongest regarding these issues because the United States in the beginning was founded on these values so they will win lots of cases to protect gun rights and religious freedom. Now when it comes to the things that offend them such as pornography and edgy movies they are at their weakest because they still think their 'Christian morality' even means anything and they still refuse to accept the fact that Christian doctrine aren't valid arguments anymore in the Federal Courts and the Supreme Court, this is why the American Right lost the gay marriage issue a while ago. So every time the American Right tries to pass laws that attempts to ban or censor the things that offend them then those said dumb laws get struck down as unconstitutional in the end.

So with the American Left, they are at their strongest when it comes to progressivism, fighting for the rights for minorities, and also fighting for artistic and creative freedom and they won many cases related to these things. However, when it comes to issues such as gun rights and also religious freedom this is where the American Left is also at their weakest (especially with gun rights). So every time that the American Left passes laws to ban said firearms and accessories they get struck down as unconstitutional later on.

Now in this case, if the American Right is going to fight Netflix over this stupid movie then they will lose. A lot has changed since 'Miller vs. California' and the United States is now no longer influenced by the 'Moralist Right' anymore, the influence of the 'Moralist Right' has severely eroded and what now remains of the 'Moralist Right' are the old geezers that are nearing their death beds now.

So as of now, 'Miller vs. California' still stands but that can change very soon if this issue were to ever go to the Federal Courts or even the Supreme Court and knowing the track record of the American Left they will win in the end and will result in content that was previously seen as 'unprotected speech' to then becoming 'protected speech' later on. I'm just being realistic with these sorts of things.

This is why you should pick your battles carefully because this will only backfire on the American Right if they're going to fight Netflix by legal means and they're going to suffer the greatest legal defeat since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage then.

So let's see how this goes later on now.

I know it's already said that the left will jump to defend pedophilia if Trump says anything about Cuties, but they've already started saying that shit when Ted Cruz made a comment criticising the film. I don't give a fuck if someone doesn't like a politician but to condone pedophilia for the sake of proving a politician you don't like wrong is mental illness.

RE; the debate about Cuties' legality. I wouldn't try to ban it because it skirts around directly breaking the law. It could be edited and repurposed to be CP but the director clearly had the foresight to claim plausible deniability on that.
The question seems to be should this content be legal in a moral society that respect's children's right to innocence, and in that regard I'd say the production of the film should be looked into to ensure there was no child exploitation.

My main point though is this film probably hasn't broken any laws, but a lot of shit is legal that you're not supposed to do.
Cooking and eating roadkill is legal, doesn't mean anybody should, also doesn't mean everybody else should join in.
I'm glad this movie has been met with overwhelming revulsion, because it displays all the usual suspects on twitter's deep mental malaise. Everybody with critical thinking skills is saying, regardless of it staying on Netflix, Cuties is a grotesque affront to anti-pedophiles everywhere, and exceeded their worst expectations. Meanwhile the self-proclaimed enlightened class leans in and goes ''what's wrong? It's legal, isn't it?'' as though everybody would be equally upset / outraged if instead of trojan-horsing pedophilia, the movie's production exploited a tax haven loophole or something.
To them, the bedrock of morality is whether or not something is legal. If you can't distinguish between something you won't be arrested for, and something you will be spat at in the street for, then you're fucked in the head. Its disturbing how, the way they phrase stuff, beneath the smugness and sarcasm, they're conveying how certain actions' legal status is the only thing holding them back from doing deeply monstrous things.
These are the same people who thought extra-judicially removing statues and burning furniture stores is a-okay, and probably put up those cringe-tastic 'punch a nazi' graphics a few years back.

We should use this to our advantage. Trump should come out against gorgeous women spontaniously giving blowjobs to random men in the street.
