Muslims are not all the same and the religion is also diverse. Those women would not be wearing any coverings if they were in the US and the ones who came here didn't and don't. They hated it. I'm talking about women in the US who "choose" to wear it and those who try to paint it as a powerful statement of female empowerment.
The coverings vary across the world and in the US you will find women with simple headscarves to full on burkas where it makes no practical sense and definitely isn't powerful.

Sikh men are easy but I've never paid attention to Sikh women. There are not many sikhs or muslims where I am and the women wear hijabs normally. I'm not in a hurry to ask them about their faith or anything.

I think the riots we're seeing now aren't an isolated event in terms of human history, but the result of rejecting the Classical and Scholastic view of mankind and the (failed) project of rebuilding man into something he clearly isn't.
