BLM's not going to get their way in any substantial fashion, only at the edges. What I see coming out of this is the usual - some "commissions", some "diversity hires", some "awareness days/weeks", but at the core nothing will change. You can't legislate away the sights of BLM burning/looting/killing/causing trouble.
BLM had a marvelous opportunity for a bully pulpit after the Floyd incident. Played properly and non-violently, BLM could have been a major player in the national discussion on race. BLM could have been heroes by protecting businesses, especially in inner cities, against looting/burning/destruction.
They have done nothing of the kind. Like the NFL, BLM is working all out to not just piss off as many potential supporters as possible, but in the case of BLM to ensure their continued marginalization in American society. Sure didn't have to be that way.
