General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

They even got a trap in there that sometimes stream with Hololives so if you swing that way there are alternatives
And it's a really convincing trap too! I mean it has to do with the fact that the "man" behind the voice is the woman who created him, but let's get those pesky details outta the way.

The only good trap Vtuber is Kagami Kira. Tamaki is third rate until she can go full yakuza voice to do her post stream super chat thank yous.

I really love watching nijisanji with such innocent vtubers such as NTR-fetish maniac Ange Katrina, lolicon connoisseur Kenmochi Touyo and the degenerate president Tsukino Mito.
I also love the pure vtubers from HololivePro such as the lolicon ryona enthusiast Natsurio Matsuri, the onee-shota dreamer Yukoku Roberu and the oji-san herself Sakura Miko.

Seriously though, if he paid even the slightest bit of attention he would have realised that most of the overseas fans he calls "Western Bigots" actually cared about the streamer behind the vtuber avater (to an extent). That's why there was such an uproar over Aloe Mano quitting, because it felt like JAPANESE unicorns and some niji-diehards were harrassing her. If weebs wanted the vtubers to act like "women existing, but not talking" then none of the western fanbase would be upset about it.

just started watching some clips of the English V-tubers and is it me or does but just feel kinda off? I feel like the English words sound a lot more rough or forceful so its taking me out of it.

Not sure if it's all of them; but I'm pretty sure that Kiara and Ninomae are Japanese.

It's ironic how the people who use virtual avatars are more genuine and honest feeling than the people who show their face. Even the ones who play up their characters feel more honest than a bodycam ethot. Legit. I have literally no contempt or hatred for any of these Vtubers. Even the ones I don't tune into, I want the best for. Shit, half of them could be legitimate communists and I still wouldn't want anything bad to happen to them.

Maybe that's just how things are when you're reasonable and decent, as opposed to vitriolic and unreasonable?

i feel like there is to many of these fucking V-tubers and people will either burn out or just stick to that one V-tuber they really like and who asked for English V-tubers again? people only liked the Japanese ones speaking (if you can call it that) englrish since its cute watching them struggle and understand what they are saying.

for me, its Korone and pekora.

I think there was a demand for it, given the popularity of the half-American vtubers like Coco and Pikamee who switch back and forth between English and Japanese.

Mori seems like a native speaker, she just has a gimmick where she speaks stiffly. Kiara is a trilingual Austrian, Ina is Korean, and Amelia is from the Philippines; they're ESL but at least on par or better than the HoloID girls. I'm not 100% on where the shark is from, but I'd bet a Japanese hapa.

Burn out is inevitable. With the explosion of interest and clipped content over the summer I'm sure it seemed to some like the demand was there and if the stadium-capacity number of viewers the new girls are pulling every day are anything to go by, they weren't wrong. Yes this clip is fun as hell to watch:
For me, it is Okayu.

I'm imagining it's going to be a lot of "hey guys, jampu, dashu, OHHHH NOOOO"

I only recently got into vtubers but it's been an interesting experience just seeing how much community content there is for it. You'll have translated clips from streams sometimes the same day and there's a ton of fanart. It's been entertaining to browse through the /jp/ hololive global thread even if most of it is Goslingposts and people spamming BUY BUY BUY/ SELL SELL SELL every time there's a stream.

You can tell he's taking potshots at a community he knows nothing about. I have no idea what he means by "vtubers talk about various things that would provoke an angry response" since most vtubers keep the conversation light and avoid talking about anything controversial. Even when they do talk about heavier topics it's usually them sharing a bit of their personal problems like family death or anxiety.
He also went into damage control mode.

I'm not familiar with "Breadtube" but are all of them this annoying and smug? Can't even admit his tweet was garbage but instead claims it's the readers fault they feel attacked. There's a lot of people calling him out in the comments but the amount of people defending/agreeing with him is alarming. It's clear they have a greater disdain for weebs in general and are just using the crossover with vtuber watching to once again talk about how icky weebs are.
