Nigga what. Do you know what a non-profit organisation is? nonprofits still make money mostly through donations, however, their primary focus isn't used to enrich the shareholders or members (In theory, but there are loopholes and excuses people use.) but to provide public services and other benefits to the community. That doesn't mean that people don't get paid in them. There's an ongoing debate about the wages of CEOs of nonprofits. Not only that, but non-profit organisations have to make sure other than what's needed to keep the lights on, goes back into whatever cause it's promoting or the community it's supporting. The sheer amount of logistics and organisation involved in nonprofits is pretty staggering.

Ultimately, I agree with @danceintrance these guys were larpers. You don't need mangers for most volunteer projects and the ones who I have found that have used them had fucking massive teams with many people work in multiple departments. Especially what, he's doing the writing and coding. From the situation we've heard from the Shortcake and others, the managers did what? Barely anything. These guys were larpers and these speds should be called that.

You do realize non-profits and charities also have unpaid volunteers, right? Also Non-profits don't make money bud, that'd make it a "Charitable for-profit entity", they get donations and investments from people who want to give back or feel charitable. I assume you meant that they use the money gained by donations and charitable people to pay themselves, which is correct, but they still have to publish publicly available documents for everyone to see how much money went towards the actual charitable actions and how much towards paying the staff and up-keep costs.

I assume you weren't keeping up with the thread at all? Everyone on the team that did something horrible got doxxed, countless PR nightmares and not to mention the countless allegations against the lead idiot himself. A manager is most definitely needed here to deal with this bullshit.

Despite my constant shitting on the team, the managers did their job. They managed the team, even if they used methods that were less then moral, but anything related to firing or hiring still had to go through Apeis which meant they couldn't really do their jobs correctly. They did it to the best of their ability

You can't manage a team consisting of only one person. Also if that person is the de facto leader of the project, he is the only manager. They are essentially his free bitches who get paid with a delusion of being self claimed "managers". By calling them manager you are feeding their delusions just like when you call a tranny by their new "gender".
