It's actually perfect in a number of ways - the high bail makes it obvious it's serious, discouraging further rioting and enheartening the citizens - and it's only bail so if they don't have much evidence, etc they can just let them go later when things calmed down - lets them ride both sides if they need to.

Uh... that article is not wrong. It's simply correct. That's literally what RAC bands are like. There's usually at least one anti-Jew song on an album. The genre is pretty anti-Semetic in a way like black metal being pretty misanthropic/anti-religion (Christianity). Here's an example I know of off the top of my hand (definitely not a genre I listen to).

Don't forget that in Brave new world you will most likely be a single-digit IQ factory worker from a lower caste that is brainwashed into thinking that backbreaking work is fun. In 1984, you'd most likely be a prole and not a Ingsoc party member, which spares you from most of the brainwashing, surveillance, and ideological purity, but you would be living in squalor in a country that is constantly being bombed in an eternal war which most likely has mass conscription.
