Obviously not the OT where a Sith walks into the scene after the first battle and the search for a Jedi is part of the early plot. What movies where you watching?

There was actually quite a bit of Empire vs Republic focused media, mostly in campaigns, Dark Horse and a few novels. In terms of televised media, there was also a 3PO and R2-focused cartoon with very little to no Imperial/Rebel presence which was mostly just them getting handed over from master to master. Also the First Order is about as eternal as a gross bunion. All shit involving Jedi and The Empire.
You know what would be great? A show about a dude..lets make him a Bounty Hunter..who is on the outer edge far away from The New Republic and The First order's gay ass slap fight..hunting down criminals..Wholly unconnected to anything involving the eternal dick measuring contest between two fucking brain dead cults.
The game has aged very well and even had an HD re-release on the PS4.Oh man that has me hyped.
I see a lot of comments like that. Why do people hate the Child so much? Do they expect Favreau and his team to drop the character after the first season because of the merchandising? The baby is not a Porg or any other gimmick from the Sequel Trilogy, it wasn't created to sell merch, it's basic storytelling. Mando got a new mission at the end of the first season, he has to bring that child to some remnant of the Jedi Order. It will probably happen during the second season and then Mando will find something else to do.can almost assure you that the baby yoda thing will be overused. The child sidekick theme is fine, even the dynamic of a "father" taking a "baby" into dangerous survival situations is a good thing, however what will ultimately hurt the show is that the baby will not grow older fast enough so we miss out on the mental and physical advancement of the child character.

Even if people hated TPM, at least the people working in it had fun. That’s more than you can say about the What If Trilogy.

Midichlorians were already introduced in Episode VI. They just didn't have the word for it back then. But even in ROTJ, Leia had the Force because she popped out of the right womb and had Darth Vader's genetics in her due to being his daughter, and even in Episode V they hinted at Leia having Force powers since she could hear Luke's call as the latter fell from his duel in Bespin. Face it, the Force was already a biological trait even back in the OT era. Why do you think Obi-Wan only bothered to teach Luke how to use the Force and not anyone else? Because he was the son of a Jedi Knight and had the right genetics for it. That's why midichlorians didn't bother me in the slightest in TPM. To me, it was just more technobabble to explain why the Force can only be used by a select few instead of everyone having the capacity to become a Jedi.People focus too much on the disappointment TPM was, though you can blame the hype machine at the time too. It's a fun movie if you just disengage your brain. Fucking midi chlorians though, jesus.
Why? Midichlorians aren't the Force.Fucking midi chlorians though, jesus.
I like TPM to this day. I highlighted this part because it has a lot of merit as a film separate from SW and that, imo, is its downfall in terms of some popular internet reception. Gonna post something I posted in Mauler's thread but this video(its long AF) really changed how I viewed the prequels and George Lucas and made me think about creativity and the effort that goes into it. If you have the time I'd highly encourage people to watch it.I enjoyed TPM as a kid, and still like it to this day. I'm more than willing to admit that the film functions more as a "Star Wars History Lesson" than a movie, but for a rabid lore-fiend like myself, that was never a problem. It's not without faults, and lacks a lot of merit as a film...but I still regard it as essential when revisiting the saga.
Also, the content released around the film, such as the Jedi Apprentice novels, Luceno's Cloak of Deception and Darth Plagueis, and the spectacular Outlander and Maul comics were fucking killer. I think a lot of the Ep. I-era content gets overshadowed by the kind afforded to the Episodes II and III, largely due to the absolute behemoth that was the Clone Wars Multimedia project, but a lot of it as really good.
It wasn't the greatest gamewise, but given the hardware available at the time, I'm not really surprised.
Disney nu-Canon loosely implies that the Firespray and Jango's acquiring of the Slave I from the Oovoo IV prison is still part of the nu-lore, however as Porgcuck has said numerous times, Disney canon is worthless and as we've seen the Story Group has no real meaning or purpose so I wouldn't be surprised if they make up some new origin for the Slave I. EAfront II in particular retcons it so now Orange Yoda is the new owner of Boba's ship and it seems to be implied in some comic that Boba and Jango's ships are different, with Jango's ending up on some junk planet to be used by Rey. As far as Disney continuity is concerned, only the godawful Disney Trilogy is infallible as even the OT has received a few retcons. Which is why I have little interest in the Mandalorian if they still plan to remain within a continuity that where the DT reigns supreme, which seems to be the case as 8 years after ROTJ in this setting, the jedi are still just a rumor rather than a New Republic endorsed faction and Luke barely even exists, so I'm inclined to believe that they're still going with the sequel narrative and the bullshit introduced via Kylo Ren.I'm curious what if any ship porn will be getting in Mando. Are we going to get slave 1? Is it still a Firespray or did they retcon that too?
Then just make new allies and villains instead of recycling Filoni OCs for the millionth time. Or use allies and villains that haven't gotten any screentime since the Disney buyout but fit with the era if you want old characters to milk.there is only a maincast of 2 and they need a couple of new allies and villains.
She has a more consistent track record than Doomcock so I have less doubts, although I'll still take it with a grain of salt. But I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this is the case with Pascal. Hiding your face in Hollywood these days is pretty much considered taboo, and a lot of actors and diversity types get salty about that sort of thing. Never mind that Prowse and Jones embraced their combined helmeted role. Also Pascal crying to Kennedy feels like an example of Filoni getting a taste of his own medicine, since he pulled the same thing on Leland Chee back during Filoni Wars' production. Anyway yeah, people are already saying they spotted Aladdin's Rebels characters in the new trailer...Well, if Grace Randolph's sources are correct (which unlike Doomcock's, aren't reddit) you're shit out of luck I'm afraid.
It seems that Pedro Pascal is out after a serious blow up with Favreau and Filoni about their insistence that the mask stays on and he flounced half way through the production. It seems the final straw was him going over their heads and crying to Kathleen Kennedy, who was already at odds with Favreau and Filoni because she wanted more stand alone episodes and they wanted more of a continuous storyl-ine, after that Pascal was told to leave.
Hence all the rumors about the second half of the season featuring mostly new characters. No word on if he'll be back. So you can expect a shit-load more Filoni filler as they try to plug the gap.
Bounty Hunter is still one of my favorite SW games. Still have it with my Gamecube, and still a better story than most of what the Rat can squeeze out. Komari Vosa, Montross, giving Zam Wessell a background. I dread Disney ever touching that property, and long to see what 1313 could have been. The game has aged very well and even had an HD re-release on the PS4

It really did. Bounty Hunter, RS III, and Clone Wars are the only surviving GC games I still have. All of them had these amazing alien environments that actually took you away and caught your mind. Taking on the Bando Goa, bringing down an Executor-class super star destroyer over Fondor, and bringing down the Dark Reaper (which was a nice little look at Sith Alchemy and technology with a visit from Uliq Qel-Droma). Feels, feel, feels.Gamecube had some really good SW games

TPM is a bit of a mess. It would not have been as poorly received if it had been overhyped and if the 90's had played host to a "Shadows of the Empire" trilogy. But it was not the childhood fucking mess I felt it was when it came out and basically until RotS.
I still say AOTC should have been Epidsode 1, TPM would have been a good miniseries. The light saber fights were great, but all the other combat, the Star Wars if you will, was subpar.
In my mind, Midichlorians are microbes that 'feed' off the force; their presence denotes the force in a being, but they are the origin of the force. That doesn't preclude bloodlines having increased force sensitivity.
