I don't know if I would call it defending. There was an episode of Biggest Problem where "pedophiles" was brought in as a problem. The episode after that, Maddox read an e-mail on air that he got from a non-offending pedophile. He was trying to find help and Maddox tried to implore other people dealing with this problem to also go find help.

He also disassociated with the Bad Hombre, who was a frequent caller on his Biggest Debate show and who turned out to be a (pretty nasty) pedophile.
