U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

I've even seen police arrest someone for standing on an American flag. Police are humans and will do petty shit, especially when irritated. Some cops have really thin skins and if someone cusses at them they get into full arrest mode.

"De-escalation means the Cops establish order and control of an otherwise uncontrolled situation"

How that is done is the issue. Killing people on the spot could be "de-escalation" by this definition. When people say "de-escalation" regards to policing you know full well it's referring to specific tactics and techniques. Google up "de-escalation policing" and you get a ton of articles on it, some questioning its efficacy, some not. My instincts tell me de-escalation techniques are useful in various situations, not all, I could be wrong, but claiming all policing is de-escalation is a bit of an equivocation. The point is that American policing is overly-aggressive, almost militaristic.

Not all police forces are the same, dude, you probably work with a bigger city. Smaller town cops can be some really bitchy pissants. I think we've all dealt with shitty cops at one point or another.

I also run a facebook group for my local city and the local cops in it are consistently the biggest negative conservative stereotypes. Toughguy talk, and not afraid of petty arguments in the group with liberals.

Sample article:

Let me guess, you are probably involved in the military and that's how you work with the police, right?

Also,

Yeah, that snarky sarcasm in a tense situation where the alleged perp is freaking out isn't controlling the situation, it's putting gasoline on the fire.

I was giving you the benefit of doubt with your low key "all cops are fascists" spiel, but by god, put some more effort in it please.

"you're anecdotal evidence is crap, but mine's totally legit". mate, you honestly want to tell me "cops arrest someone standing on a flag" isn't bullshit? but sure, let's roll with it, since you make it sound like timmy the revolutionary was simply standing in the middle of a field miles outside city limits and the cops drove out all the way to arrest him - why? people are lazy. as you said, cops are people too, so why would they drive all the way to bumfuck nowhere to arrest someone standing on a piece of cloth? then book him, write a report, possibly have to justify said arrest when timmy the revolutionary files a complaint, for what exactly? "being petty?" or could it be there were more factors involved you conveniently ignored - and that's your basis for a discussion about police conduct?

are there shit people? sure. are some of those shit people cops? of course. just like there are good people that will let you off the hook and rip up the ticket if they want to. there's no cosmic "X is always bad and constantly oppressing me".

I don't wanna repost that chris rock sketch from the 90s again, but seriously, if you're not behaving like a nigger, usually cops will leave alone. like most law-abiding citizens for some reason. no matter what they write on facebook because procedure and scrutiny is a thing (maybe not in your job, but then again not every job's the same, right?).

"De-escalation means the Cops establish order and control of an otherwise uncontrolled situation"

this one deserves it's own reply, ever been to a certain wendy's in atlanta recently? what's your time limit for de-escalation exactly, because apparently talking to some dude asleep behind the wheel for 30 minutes wasn't enough, so.. 45 minutes? 60? considering there's not an unlimited amount of cops, let's say for some reason you need cops too - you expect them to clone themselves, or would you rather have them try to wrap up each encounter in a timely manner without much follow-up work so they're available when needed? inb4 "just hire more cops" - you're willing to pay for it? especially with your expectation most cops are shit?
and all that doesn't even consider the dude suddenly flying off the handle which gets him killed. maybe a social worker really would've been the better option in that case...

I never said all cops are fascist. I said they're people. I'm guessing I don't have to read the rest of what you wrote since you clearly didn't read what I did.

You know what, I'll bite. The person who stood on a flag wasn't Antifa, it was a religious fundamentalist activist protesting on public land. I assume they weren't charged since I heard nothing further. The state would have lost in court. I am remaining vague so the news article and location cannot be tracked down. It was awhile ago. Regardless, it doesn't change the fact that COPS ARE PEOPLE, NOT MORAL PARAGONS IMMUNE TO WRONGDOING.

mate, you honestly want to tell me "cops arrest someone standing on a flag" isn't bullshit?

Yes, because actual peaceful protesting (unlike what this anarchist/communist shitbags are doing) is covered under the first amendment. If you're going to suggest this was a justifiable arrest then I really have nothing else to say since there's no arguing with the "thin blue line" crowd anymore than there is the "Defund the Police" crowd. You're just on the other end of the spectrum.

If that's your attitude to 1A rights than your attitude isn't that far off from Antifa's. I'm not sure there really is a discussion we can have since our ideas of what is and isn't just are apparently very different. I'm not sure there's room in your ideology for cops being able to do any wrong, or room for you to admit it anyway. Furthermore, more focus here has been on police training, for avoiding conflict between police and civilians, and for good relations between police and the civilians to build trust.

The rest of your reply is just an angry strawman screed as I never said that de-escalation should be the sole technique police used, I said it should be used where it would be applicable. Calm down, if you want me to address anything else than stop getting so butthurt about this and talk civilly and read what I'm saying. I know all of this will go past your head because the most important thing here is to own the libs and saying anything needs to be changed about American policing clearly means Antifa is right and we can't have that.

Since cops never do anything wrong at all we should just abolish Internal Affairs and save money. I have it on good word by posters on kiwifarms that cops just want to do the right thing, we don't really need to worry about anything past that.

Jesus.
I imagine them coming to tell his wife that he parished in a tragic work-related accident.
Than, when she asks about the body, they just hand her a plastic bag full of gore.
In medical billing coding the ICD10 has "V97.33XD: Sucked into jet engine, subsequent encounter. "
Some one sersiously thought some one who got sucked in a jet engine would have a second appointment with a physician.

I saw this in my feed today.
Honestly, I am disapointed I was expecting the sign to be on fire.
why is everyone in 2020 retarded?
Because 2020 has gone beyond parody.

Just saw this on twitter:

They're also encouraging each other to destroy evidence the police could use to prosecute them. Is that legal?

2000: Karens call cops on niggers for literally anything.
2020: Karens bitch about people calling the cops on niggers for comitting crimes.

This year is the most bizarre mixture of hilarious and frustrating.
Lord knows White women have a love hate relationship with Blacks. Clutch their purse, then get an orgasm the same day.

what does this mean?
Leftists think anyone that's not them is a nazi who wants them to die. So, because of this strawman they have the right to injure people and when they are rightly called out for this just flip the bird. Nasically, the lefty lady thinks she's entirely justified because she labels the enemy as evil. Regardless of whether that's even true or not.

She'd be disqualified and possibly arrested if this were some real competition. But hey. These people are shit at making comics, just look at their memes.

So which videos do these people consider the most humiliating?

There's hyperbole, then there's whatecer the fuck this delusional bullshit is. When you have to go this far into fantasyland to justify your violence I think it's about time you spend some time alone with your thoughts.

Thats where being over socialized is a problem. The healthy way to deal with violent feelings is find a constrictive outlet for such urges.

do you know what "low key" means?

so now he was protesting and not just "standing on a flag". it's almost like context is important. now, how was he protesting? where was he protesting? was he a public disturbance? was he protesting to such an extend he was a danger to himself? (I don't need a source, my point is there are always a lot more factors involved than "X did something").
contrary to your believe cops can't just go arrest people nilly willy, because, as you said it has to be justified. if not it's very easy to sue some money out of the city. there's a reason body-cams are a thing, and cops that do it anyway aren't cops for very long usually. which either means they learn restraint and to follow procedure or get weeded out, so in turn you'll end up with a lot more "good" cops than bad ones. that doesn't mean every one is a "moral paragon", but chances are higher than the other way around (unless there's a systemic issue ofc, but this is about cops as individuals and most departments are mostly clean for the same reason).

so no, I'm not saying it was justified. because I don't know all the facts. same way I don't blindly believe every clickbait or story on the internet. and that's why I called your story bullshit.

COPS ARE PEOPLE, NOT MORAL PARAGONS IMMUNE TO WRONGDOING.

which I said where? I said people are lazy (which was also @RodgerDodger argument, and which you were also happy to dismiss). that means more often then not they'll show leniency, if not give you a pass outright. I think you'll agree "cops statistically get off their asses more than the average just to be petty" doesn't make much sense.

The top one is hilarious because it acts like the supposed "Nazis" started literally anything, or that the supposed "nazis" are gigantic buff dudes.

Last I checked the first panel should say "get your gay shit out of my videogames" with no mention of winning anything, as said by a very average looking dude.

Moving on, most of the advice in the below tweets is generally good legal advice.

Except the destroy evidence one, that likely falls under some category of "tampering with/destroying evidence" or "obstructing justice" which is a crime in most states but the question becomes how they codify it at a state level and whether the cops can prove you mercked evidence in court.

And the phone in a faraday bag bit. If you're going to a riot as an antagonist don't even bring YOUR phone with you, if you must, bring a real ass burner phone in a "faraday bag" at best.
