I think a Trump win and federal crackdowns are the kind of thing that would utterly demoralize the Woke Left, if not completely blackpill them outright. If and when the neoliberals cut the line on them completely like the neocons did to the fundies, I think the Woke Left will end up going in a similar direction.
With the Religious Right in the 2010's, you've got your firebrands on the fringes who are little more than dead horse targets of mockery like Kent Hovind and WBC, the vast majority who more or less drop out of the mainstream when and where they can and have their own cultural ghetto, and then as time goes on, you'll have younger generations emulate the SJW's because they're too young to remember them like we see with the Zoomer internet traditionalist types nowadays.
Maybe the Alpha Gen and early Beta Gen edgelords will end up being hardcore Stalinist tankies or NazBols since the SJW AnComs of the Woke Left would've been seen as failures that caused the hypothetical backlash? Sad to say, I think it would be more likely that smaller groups start early-1970s-style bombings and such. Police ambushes will increase. Associate professors will screech even louder (yes, it is possible) and there will be more shit hitting more fans. But that's a feature, not a bug, because it justifies rounding up the non-LARPing players.

If they followed though and still thought they were at great risk, I could at least have some respect for them for following though on their convictions regardless of the (real or perceived) danger. The good fence sitters (which I may be one) at least are open to evidence to make informed decisions on what is going on, vs the hardliners on all sides.

FBI has been dragging their feet the entire time. It's DHS and State Troopers that has being doing the actual groundwork. Obviously the FBI is tacitly on the side of the establishment. They already made a statement they "Have no evidence of Antifa involvement" and then turned around and said QAnon is a domestic terror threat. I don't listen to what they say, I watch what they are doing. Which is sweet F all when it comes to Antifa.

Adbusters attempted to revive the spirit of Occupy Wall Street, their last successful project, for all of this nonsense and demonstrated the depth of Canadian ignorance to left-wing affairs in the United States, misunderstanding that the 'Occupy' mentality meant to capture some big-tent of people fighting against corporate injustices has little to do with standing in front of the White House, screaming at the federal government; overall, was never going to succeed - never captured much actual attention across left-wing social media accounts, or left-wing media at all really.
A New York based organization, RefuseFascism, is planning a series of marches starting on the 21st - it seems to be getting much more inward attention than the Adbusters campaign ever did, only ever receiving a couple dozen likes on Twitter as mentioned above and tons of attention by right-wing media; needless to say if this fails, we should be just fine and strapped in until the election..which will be wild, considering Kamala "I'm black, Indian, and Latina" Harris only recently made a gaffe on national television where she referred to the administration as the "Harris administration" - the bitch is a trojan horse doused in red paint if there ever was one.

The siege being cancelled to rain safety brings up something that has been rattling around in my brain for a couple months now as PDX continued to riot every damn night:
what happens in Portland when the weather returns to year-round mean of "rain"?
I have to wonder how many people will still be "doing it every night" when it involves being wet and cold (even with proper raingear) while attempting to do their thing. They have the excuse of air quality right now (though these fuckers all have respirators rated to handle that level of bad air without issue so that's a kind of weasel-y reason to stop imo) but will they resume once things stop being on fire?
Given the way things are going I'm going to guess they will transition from "not going out because muh smoke", to quietly not going out because of rain and cold (which is soon upon us up here). Chances are the smoke will largely end once the rain begins so there probably won't be a bunch of great weather in between conducive to late night shenanigans to get them "doing this every night" again, which means this will likely pass unnoticed.
Maybe I'm being optimistic but if some light rain is all it took to put the "siege" to bed I can't see Portland being sufficiently determined to be out during the late fall and winter months at least not consistently.

The "PSL/Party for Socialism & Liberation" is an openly "nonrevisionist" Marxist-Leninist group which split from the Workers World Party sometime ago - we're increasingly seeing the involvement more and more of these openly Communist front-groups as we get closer to the election and the situation evolves, and I'd expect the far-left to evolve quite a bit as we enter the stage of the election itself. Hearken back to the Weathermen Underground type leftists of the 60's and 70's.

I think the hope was eventually with Trump firing enough heads of departments that were trying to undermine him, eventually some people who wasn't beholden to the Washington establishment would step up. It seems to have happened with the DOJ, and the DHS, but the rest of the Departments are probably fully on board with Washington. Since Epstein was killed under the watch of the Head of the Department of Prisons. The FBI and CIA have seemingly made no moves against an Anarchist/Marxist group that hates America and has so far costed millions of dollars in damage and several murders, and we now have proof a foreign power is providing support. Even though that explicitly falls under their juristiction.
So it's basically it's Trump + DOJ + DHS vs CIA, FBI, Silicon Valley, NYT, WP, CNN, MSNBC and CCP
