So, I hire people at work - volunteers and paid employees.

If I came across this thread, there would be no hire. I could go into a huge long dialog about it but that's the gist of it. If someone attracts this degree of attention online and has this much proof attached to it - never mind the fact the first post is Kayla herself, and the fact as a wanderer I wouldnt have the context - I would not take the chance. We live in a world where this can carry over into real life and I don't have time to waste fielding ween calls.

That's just from seeing the drama and not even analyzing it, though.

Actually looking into it beyond the casual Google search, though, you'd see she's a nut who threatens suicide for asspats. She trashes former employers online on the same blogs. She can't even clean her room, which if the job involves cleaning, does not bode well for her future success at any such job.

As a weeaboo myself, I'm somehow not surprised she doesn't know about Japanese culture given the lack of knowledge about them found in her blogs and fanfics.

Even though that Maki-character is wearing an outfit that shows off her belly and arms, her top still is a bit conservative rather than revealing (As in no super obvious cleavage.).

I like to think she chooses existing characters based on their initial appearance and the basic run down of their personality. Just enough information to get Kayla feel that character is relatable to her. Often times, since she hasn't finished a game or an anime, she would fill in the blanks of this alluring, potential headmate by putting her own self in... until she finally completes it or the game/anime. Which is why we see a ton of characters and we see no connection other than vague descriptions with her and the kin/alter/whathaveyou. I.E: Her Saints Row character, Catherine, Junko Enoshima, Chloe Price, and so on.

A little addendum there was a huge explosion of spergery and autism in Twitter and tumblr because the localization team removed any mention of same sex relationships in the game, in game you are supposed to help the idols as a student of the school the problem is that the damn school is girls only, thing that is mentioned several times in the anime , in Japan some cards have some lines like "I don't care if we are both girls" or something like that

Obviously the tumblrinas entered full apoplectic mode and raged against the company who localized the game with hilarious results

Just catched up with this thread and oh wow, nice how she complains about LL, but still spends a shitload of money (seriously why she even told everyone how much she spent on a freemium game?!? Theyre mostly p2w so i avoid them like hell... anyway given that LL is basically "cute girls doing cute things" its nothing surprising that characters are sorta dressed in a sexy/cute manner. Shes not in the place to complain about it i think. She also probably applies western standards and values on it.

As mentioned before i think she often chooses "kins" from franchises she doesn't even really know and "inserts" herself into them. Like i dont see why she chooses Catherine as her kin? It's unfitting and it feels like she just tries to use her favorite characters as kins....

All it is, in the end, is just really bad roleplaying. For those of us who can remember back then, we all had "that guy" in our local pen and paper RPG group who had the ultimate Mary Sue insert type character, with the constantly changing background story that always seemed to match up with whatever thing "that guy" was sperging on. If he was into Starcraft, it was some kind of crap Ghost insert into a D&D game. If it was Pokemon, they were totally trying to wedge some form of pokey-mans trainer into a White Wolf system.

This is just the modern day version for Kayla. Her "kin" are just roleplaying characters she's sperged into, and the game is Tumblr/Twitter/whatevs.

One would think if someone relates to a fictional character, like Chloe Price or Catherine, they'd share some of their mannerisms and personality, Roleplay or not. Entertain your audience, goddamit.

But she doesn't. Maybe it's because the kiwis or the weenies took up so much of her time, she never got around explaining this or just act out her kin.

To me, Otherkin and Headmates are new concepts, even though I touched on it when I found Tumblrisms and ADoseofBuckley's video on these terms. I'm usually the type of person to listen to reason when a new kind of group forms on the Internet. But this is one of the rare cases where I just have no patience for. Especially Fictionkin. There's more harm than good in this.

I'm late but I feel like the main reason Kayla doesn't have people approaching her interested in friendship isn't because of nerd gear or even her shitty personality, but because she is on the phone all fucking day.

When not spamming twitter (seriously, I follow bots that post slower than her), she seems to be playing phone games non stop, so she can spam more about them. Making friends can be a difficult task if you're socially awkward but come on, if you look preoccupied with something else, nobody will want to bother you. The only time I've had that happen is on airplanes, and I mean, what the hell else are you supposed to do.

I SO agree with you! Though Im still catching up on the thread, I seriously cannot believe the amount of time she posts stuff in tumblr. And its not like its a few times a day, its like 10 or more post in an hour? I remember one poster mentioned that it seems any thoughts she has, she just has to post it on tumblr and let everyone know about it. Gah.

I feel like that type of posting should benon twitter and from what it looks like she still does that! And how many people actually reblog or retweet her stuff? Its all fine and dandy to be active on the internet but not to the point that if the internet was shut down for a day or two, you "kill" yourself because you have nothing better to do.

If Im looking to make friends online, Im not expecting people to be very active unless they are bedridden or retired from work. Which neither or those things happen to her. She's pretty much letting you know all about her life. And its damn boring.

The thing is that tumblr is kinda odd with it:
The concept behind fictionkin or kin types in general, at least as i understand and interpret it, is that its some kind of cooping mechanism for people with identity issues and seeking something they can identify with. Thats the theory at least.

But tumblr made it to a mix between shitty role playing, a (rly bad) attempt of simulating dissociative identity disorder and emphasizing their "special snowflake" status in a community which is just based on comparing who's the least privileged and even if it seems inviting for a emotional instable kid with issues at first you also have to adapt to them to fit in

Actually i just realized that i never saw kayla "slipping" into another of her kins personality (like springtrap or vade often pretended to do), hell she didnt even finished her kins pages on her blog. I think that tells us a lot about her sincerity.

LL is not pay 2 win is more Pay 2 brag, you pay for gems that you can use to get rare cards, you can get high in the ranks without them, but it requires skill

i will not be surprised if she someday became addict of Touken Ranbou, is the new thing in Weeabo Twitter

Looks like our sheep has been forever memorialized now:

Especially since GuvKing is literately begging for it.

It wants to "do the thing", and Ben Grimm turned her down, because even he can find someone better looking.
you did not get nearly enough credit for that joke

in other news this is being repeatedly reblogged on her tumblr and in the 38 notes provides a nice summary of her circle of friends- awfully conveniant of them to do that for us! should make finding future whales cows easier!

I think the greatest irony is that in-game, Junko Enoshima is a crazy bitch who constantly cycles through different personalities because she finds herself so unspeakably boring.
