Did anyone actually get an archive of the video that was posted when Trump found out? I've gone through the highlighted posts and other pages but can't see one.

Yep. And Mitch McConnell warned them.

Tbh, as much as I loathe Mitch McConnell, he was right here. Be careful about giving yourself a weapon you wouldn't want to give to your enemy. The democrats are now paying the price for that. They might also be a bit more gunshy about court-packing. Do they really want to open the door for there to be 15 Scalia's on the bench?

If pregnancy/childbirth didn't kill me I'd probably go full Andrea Yates and snap and make dead baby soup in the bathtub. I fully admit to that.

Some people just aren't fit to have kids or even go through pregnancy. There's a reason pregnancy and childbirth historically was a leading cause of death amongst women and girls, and why prior to safe, reliable abortion infanticide was ridiculously common. Hell, even to this day the US has the highest rate of maternal mortality of any developed nation.

It's honestly kind of amazing humans have survived as long as we have with how risky our pregnancy/childbirth is.
Get your tubes tied then.

lol why is everyone going nuts? I'm pretty sure legal abortion isn't going away in the US anytime soon.

Nice moderation job twitter. I said it before, and I'll say it again. If Republicans win, then Trump needs to clean house. Fire recalcitrant and limp-wristed Executive officers, investigate Google, Facebook, and Twitter, and throw the book at all the Antifa/BLM organizers that have been charged/caught in the act. Forget everything else. Drain the goddamn swamp first.

but I wonder if these people are aware that their lives aren't gonna change one bit even if Trump nominates a hardcore conservative. Conservatives have no intention to hurt or remove any right that lgbts or anyone has, at the moment. The only thing that can change could be that someone they don't like it's gonna be in power, and that doesn't really affect them beyond hurting their egos.
If given the chance, I'm sure that at least one if them will try to overthrow any liberal right such as Roe v. Wade. That one case has been the bane of boomers' existences since its inception.

I don't understand this sentiment that Yurtle the Turtle and Trump ramming through a confirmation will demoralize Democrats. This party and its pet media class have been normalizing the idea of either packing the court or impeaching Justices for the past 4 years, to the point even my normie BoomerDem parents are mentioning it. It's incredibly easy to spin a fast confirmation into a pro-turnout issue for the Dems on the ground of un-doing the appointment.

In a vacuum, sure. Probably wouldn't matter either way.

In practice, though? The Dems had to work the last several weeks trying to get focus taken away from the riots/"peaceful protests" because it was scaring the normal Democrat voters. The worry was that it could kill turnout so much they'd lose the election. Going back to that again would probably undo more enthusiasm for voting than they'd gain with some vague "save the SC!" grand master plan.

So it's mostly the potential for rioting and whatnot that could hurt the Democrats, not the issue itself.

Not to mention what if they actually enact on rioting, burning McConnell's house down, etc? That would be a recipe for swinging Independent voters to Trump. If they are wise, they will pipe down and not start shit.
